A total of 413 graduates of the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) took part in the UI Graduation for the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2021/2022 on Saturday, September 10, 2022. This year is the first year UI has held offline graduations since the pandemic COVID-19. UI graduations are held simultaneously in several locations or called multi-location graduations. The FPH UI graduation itself was held at the UI Hall and the UI Assembly Hall.
At this graduation, FPH UI graduated 413 graduates consisting of 221 graduates from the undergraduate program, 172 graduates from the master’s program, and 20 graduates from the doctoral program. FPH UI is the faculty with the second largest proportion of cum laude graduates in UI, which is 62%. The best graduate for a doctoral program is Dr. Farida Briani with a GPA of 4.00, for the master program is Mohammad Rizaldi, M. Epid., with a GPA of 3.96, while for the undergraduate program it is Raja Alif Fathullah, S.K.K.K. and Rahma Laili Khairina, S.K.K.K. with a GPA of 3.85.
The graduation ceremony was divided into two sessions: the first session for university graduation and the second session for faculty graduation. The university graduation was opened by the Rector of the Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D. “As alumni, you are expected to maintain the good name of your alma mater and be useful to the community. After this, please color the industrial world according to your respective competencies”, said Prof. Ari Kuncoro to the graduates in his speech.
The event was followed by a graduation procession in each faculty. Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., Dean of FPH UI also gave a speech. “Alumni are the face of their alma mater. We hope that the graduates here can become public health ambassadors who will determine public health branding in the future,” said Prof. Mondastri Korib.
Furthermore, the Chairperson of ILUNI FPH UI, Muhammad Izzad Lubis, S.K.M., also gave a speech. Izzad advised the graduates to always maintain the relationship with fellow alumni so that they can jointly advance FPH UI.
The faculty’s graduation was marked by the transfer of the toga rope by the Dean of FPH UI for undergraduate, master, and doctoral programs, as well as the reading of the oath of graduates for undergraduate programs led by their respective professional organizations. The graduation oath for the Regular S-1 Study Program and Public Health Extension was led by Vetty Yulianty Permanasari, S.Si., M.P.H., from the Indonesian Association of Public Health Experts (IAKMI), while the Regular S-1 Nutrition Study Program was led by Rudatin, SST. MK, SKM, M.Sc., from the Indonesian Nutritionist Association (PERSAGI), then the S-1 Regular Occupational Safety and Health Study Program led by Dr. Robiana Modjo, S.K.M., M.Kes., from the Indonesian Occupational Health Experts Association (PAKKI), and the Environmental Health Regular S-1 Study Program led by Drs. Sulistiono, M.Sc., from the Association of Indonesian Environmental Health Experts (HAKLI) accompanied by clergy from each religion. (WR)
