On September 13-15, 2022, the Information Center for the Faculty of Public Health (Pusinfokesmas FPH UI) is holding an Information Literacy Week known as the Pusinfokesmas Vaganza activity. This activity is open to the public and carried out online through the Zoom Meeting platform. Pusinfokesmas Vaganza was attended by FPH and UI academics, librarians from Bina Nusantara University, University of Indonesia students, and participants from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN).
The objectives of Pusinfokesmas Vaganza activities are to introduce information literacy programs in supporting the creation of scientific works, to introduce the use of reference manager software, to introduce visualization of publications related to certain subjects by utilizing journal article index data sets, as well as to introduce library systems at the university library level and between families. Health sciences and other disciplines.
The series of Vaganza Pusinfokesmas activities on the first day to the third day consisted of a Turnitin service outreach seminar and Mendeley training by Arief Setiawan, S.Kom.; Zotero 6 training seminar and VoS Viewer utilization by Fikri Wijaya, S.Sos., and Maulidya Istiqfani, S.I.P., and the last activity were closed with an online database outreach seminar (Medline (Ebsco), Proquest, and Embase) by Fikri Wijaya, S.Sos.
“The Public Health Information Center (Pusinfokesmas) as an information and communication technology-based service unit always strives to support the creation of a scientific atmosphere and the implementation of the Tri Dharma Universitas Indonesia by FPH UI academics,” said Fikri Wijaya, S.Sos., Coordinator of the Public Health Information Center conveyed his hopes for the activities of Pusinfokesmas Vaganza. In addition, the existence of the Vaganza Pusinfokesmas can also benefit the FPH UI academic community, especially in fostering information literacy.
