In accordance with the vision of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) which is committed to playing an active role in the development of the public health profession and the movement of health development in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, FPHUI continuously expanding cooperation aimed at developing the public health profession both nationally and internationally with various parties. On Monday, September 26, 2022, FPHUI held a meeting to explore cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM).
In this visit to FPHUI, BPOM intends to discuss the potential for collaboration and cooperation between BPOM, especially between the Center for Human Resource Development for Food and Drug Monitoring (PPSDM POM) and the UI Faculty of Public Health in developing the competence of human resources for Food and Drug Monitoring through the Biostatistics Implementation Training program in Food and Drug Monitoring.

Dumilah Ayuningtyas, M.A.R.S.; Secretary of the Department of Nutrition, Ir. Siti Arifah, M.P.H.; Lecturer of the Department of Biostatistics and Population, Dr. Drs. Tris Eryando, M.A.; Coordinator of the Academic Subunit, Amalia Kuswarjanti, S.K.M. ; and Coordinator of the Cooperation, Alumni Relations, and Venture Subunit, Adi Putranto, S.E. Present from the BPOM were the Head of the Food and Drug Monitoring Human Resources Development Center, I Gusti Ngurah Bagus Kusuma Dewa, S.Si., Apt., MPPM, and his staff of 10 people.
Furthermore, in this cooperation exploration discussion, FPHUI is expected to provide training in two main topics, namely framework of thinking and data presenting. This is in accordance with the challenges faced by BPOM, namely related to the process of taking and processing big data to presenting the results of data processing to stakeholders and policy development. This request from BPOM will later be facilitated by departments in FPHUI by integrating the curriculum in accordance with the objectives expected by BPOM. (wrk)
