Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) collaborated with the Depok City Health Office and the Indonesian Association of Public Health Experts (IAKMI) to organize the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program for the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program. The opening of the MBKM activity was held on Monday, September 19, 2022, offline in Room A101, FKM UI.
Merdeka Learning-Independence Campus (MBKM) is part of the Freedom to Learn policy promoted by the Ministry of Education and Culture. MBKM aims to encourage students to gain learning experience with various additional competencies outside of their study program and/or outside their campus. The MBKM activity which will be carried out by FPH UI, the Depok City Health Office and IAKMI itself is in the form of Community Health Practice Work (KPKM) with a weight of 20 credits for students of the 7th semester of the FPH UI Bachelor Program.
The opening of the Public Health Practice Work was marked by remarks by the Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs of FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc and witnessed by the Secretary of the Depok City Health Office, dr. Rani Martina. The opening was also marked by a public lecture by Delfita Farlina, AMd.Gz., from the Abadi Jaya Health Center, Depok City, who presented material on the application of Community-Based Electronic Recording and Reporting of Nutrition (E-PPGBM) and explanations related to nutrition programs. E-PPGBM itself is an application to obtain information on individual nutritional status quickly, accurately, regularly, and continuously for monitoring growth and development as well as planning and formulating nutrition policies. The general lecture also explained how to operate the E-PPGBM, starting from data entry, data import, to its implementation.
In this opening, it was also explained the outline of the Teaching Design Book (BRP) for MBKM activities and the distribution of puskesmas locations for participants. Explanation of BRP and distribution of locations was delivered by Dr. Zakianis, S.K.M., M.K.M., Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Health, FPH UI.
MBKM is expected to be able to increase the competence of FPH UI undergraduate students and provide benefits to the people of Depok City. (WR)
