Archives Supervision is a process of assessing the conformity of archival principles, rules, and standards with archival management. For the first time, archival supervision was carried out by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) simultaneously at the Ministries and Provincial Government levels in 2016. The following year, archive creators were also required to carry out internal controls.
The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) is inseparable from the internal monitoring agenda under the coordination of the Archives Office at the Universitas Indonesia. If in previous years internal supervision was carried out by the Archives Office for faculties and work units within UI, then for 2023 supervision will be carried out through self-assessment and cross-assessment by supervisors from each faculty/work unit.
Regarding this agenda, Wednesday, 1 February 2023, at Room P212 RIK UI, Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FPH UI, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc., invited the work unit archive managers at FPH UI for socialization and invited archive creation units to prepare themselves. Present at this socialization were the Faculty Secretaries, Public Relations, and Archive Coordinators, FPH UI work unit archive managers as many as 33 people who had been selected according to the criteria of the UI Archive Office and FPH UI Archive work unit management staff.
“This socialization is intended to provide a brief description of the internal control agenda that will be carried out. Internal supervision is expected to be a reminder of the extent to which the correct archival rules and principles are implemented within FPH UI. The results of internal monitoring will also be useful for continuous improvement purposes,” explained Dr. Milla Herdayati in her speech. In addition to the remarks, a brief description of the objectives of archival supervision and technical explanation from the Public Relations and Archives Coordinator, Sofiyatul Choiriyah, and the introduction of forms and timelines from Public Relations and Archives Staff, Gusti Nita Amalia.
The closest agenda for this series of internal controls is the entry meeting on Tuesday, 7 February 2023 which will be chaired by the UI Archives Office, as a marker of the start of internal archival supervision which is planned to last until March 2023. (sf)
