The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) realizes that it is everyone’s right to receive public services, including vulnerable groups. Vulnerable groups in question are pregnant/breastfeeding women, the elderly and people with disabilities, children, and mothers with children. Departing from this awareness, FPH UI organizes services that can meet the information needs of individuals from vulnerable groups. The provision of services for vulnerable groups also brings FPH UI as one of the loci which is expected to become a pilot in evaluating special infrastructure facilities for vulnerable groups. The selection of FPH UI in this category is inseparable from FPH UI’s success in obtaining the title of Integrity Zone Free from Corruption Area at the end of 2021.
The provision of services including services for vulnerable groups at FPH UI is contained in the Decree of the Dean of FPH UI number 183/SK/F10.D/UI/2023 concerning Establishment of Public Service Standards. In implementing public services for vulnerable groups, FPH UI appoints assistant officers who are on special assignments when needed.
Facilities and infrastructure for vulnerable groups that have been fulfilled by FPH UI refer to the Guidelines for the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Number 7 of 2022 namely Aspects of Fulfillment, which consists of: special parking areas for disabilities, guiding blocks, ramps, handrails. , wheelchairs/canes/crutches, priority waiting chairs, special counters, special toilets for the disabled, lactation room, children’s play area, aids for the blind, aids for the deaf. It doesn’t stop there, FPH UI has also made innovations on the official faculty website in the form of voice menu services aimed at blind customers, Posbindu Griseta (Griya Sehat Kita) activities, Nutrition Consultation (Kozi) and online Academic Services.
Through the provision of these infrastructure facilities, it is hoped that FPH UI can become an educational institution that will become a pilot in the delivery of public services in the field of infrastructure that are friendly to vulnerable groups. It is also hoped that this will have an impact on further improving service quality and customer satisfaction and of course giving every citizen equal right to access public information as mandated by law.
