The Stunting Resource Center (SRC) at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia, was established in response to and as a form of responsibility from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) to participate in efforts for the prevention and acceleration of stunting reduction, ultimately leading to an improvement in the quality of human resources in Indonesia.

SRC’s Role 

The role of the Stunting Resource Center (SRC) at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia, includes:

  1. Advocacy: Engaging in the formulation of national strategies and policies.
  2. Education, Research, and Training: Developing an online learning for health workers and health partners (https://learningcenter-pdrcfkmui.id/); Developing intervention programs; Monitoring and evaluation systems; Developing continuing education for academician; Producing scientific papers, modules, and pocketbook
  3. Community Service: Conducting promotive and preventive activities.

Track Record of SRC Experts

Several experts from the Department of Community Nutrition and the PDRC Study Center at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia, have actively participated as members and steering committee members in several international organizations, for instance, Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Network, World Health Organization (WHO), and Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies (HMHB) Consortium.

Collaboration Partners  

The experts from SRC FKM UI have established long-term and short-term collaborations with numerous national and international universities, such as Johns Hopkins University (JHU), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), University of Aberdeen, and the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp. In addition, collaboration partners include several professional organizations, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and the businesses sector.

The community services have resulted in several awards, copyrights, and patents for maternal and child health programs, reaching millions of people in Indonesia as the beneficiaries target.
