FPH UI Receives Visitation for Reaccreditation of the Master of Epidemiology Study Program from LAM-PTKes

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) received a visit from assessors from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Universities (LAMPT-Kes) to conduct a field assessment of the Master of Epidemiology Study Program (Prodi). Held in the FPH UI Professor’s Room, the two assessors present were Dr. Fridawaty Rivai, S.K.M., M.Kes., and Dr. Nurjazuli, S.K.M., M.Kes., who will conduct a 3-day field assessment on 13-15 September 2023.

This assessment is part of the accreditation of the Master of Epidemiology Study Program by LAMPT-Kes. Opened with remarks from the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., this event was also attended by Deputy Deans, Managers, Chair and Secretary of the Department of Epidemiology, Chair of the Master of Epidemiology Study Program as well as lecturers from the Department of Epidemiology, FPH UI. “This accreditation process is part of quality improvement of our faculty. “Hopefully with this process, we can maintain our previous accreditation status which was Superior Accredited,” said the Dean of FPH UI in his speech.

The accreditation assessment series opened with a presentation by the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., who conveyed the profile of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) and explained the 9 assessment criteria. The nine criteria are: criterion 1, vision-mission, goals, and strategies; criterion 2, civil service, governance and cooperation; criterion 3, students; criterion 4, human resources; criterion 5, finance, facilities and infrastructure; criterion 6, education; criterion 7, research; criterion 8, community service; and criterion 9, others (educational outcomes, research outcomes, community service outcomes).

This series of accreditation assessments includes data confirmation, review of facilities and infrastructure, interviews with study program lecturers, students, education staff, alumni, and external stakeholders. “The agenda for this field assessment is clarification and validation of the documents we have read previously. “I think the performance of the FPH UI Master of Epidemiology Study Program is very good,” concluded Dr. Nurjazuli, one of the assessors.
