Accreditation is an important thing in guaranteeing the quality of higher education. Through accreditation, the quality of education and credibility of a higher education institution is more guaranteed. Therefore, the Master of Public Health Sciences (IKM) Study Program at the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) is undergoing national accreditation by the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). During the accreditation visitation, two assessors from LAM-PTKes, Dr. Nurjazuli, S.K.M., M.Kes., and Prof. Dr. Ridwan Amiruddin, S.K.M., M.Kes., M.Sc.PH.
The accreditation visit was held for three days on 13-15 October 2023. Visitation activities included presentations from the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) and the Quality Assurance Unit as well as interviews with graduate users, students, education staff, lecturers, and alumni. The nine assessment criteria presented during the presentation by UPPS itself were: criterion 1, vision and mission, goals and strategies; criterion 2, civil service, governance and cooperation; criterion 3, students; criterion 4, human resources; criterion 5, finance, facilities and infrastructure; criterion 6, education; criterion 7, research; criterion 8, community service; and criterion 9, others (educational outcomes, research outcomes, community service outcomes). Apart from that, assessors also visited learning and student affairs facilities and infrastructure.
Dian Wulandari, S.K.M., M.M., as the Coordinator of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit, hopes that the IKM FPH UI Master’s Study Program will receive a superior title. “Hopefully the study program which is currently undergoing accreditation can receive a superior title. “Alhamdulillah, so far FPH UI has always received a superior title for all study programs that have undergone accreditation,” he said.
