The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) is one of the work units under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia which has received the title of Zone of Integrity (ZI) Free from Corruption (WBK) since 2021. As One of the faculties with the ZI WBK title, FPH UI has the responsibility to share good practices in implementing ZI development in its work environment.
On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, FPH UI received a ZI comparative study visit from the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. With the aim of gathering information and studying the practice of ZI Development at FPH UI, participants from the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau were welcomed into the FPH UI Professor’s Room to discuss ZI with each other. The nine participants consisted of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Imron Rosidi, S.Pd., M.A.; Deputy Dean I, Prof. Dr. Masduki, M.Ag., along with 7 members of the ZI team. Present from FPH UI were the Dean, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc.; Head of the ZI Development Team, Prof. Dr. dr. Sabarinah, M.Sc.; Faculty Secretary, Nelasari, S.K.M., M.K.M., along with representatives of each lever from the ZI team.
In his presentation, Prof. Sabarinah provided several important points that need to be considered when implementing ZI Development. Among them are changes before and after the implementation of ZI, innovation, involvement of the entire faculty family, and the importance of leadership commitment as the spearhead of implementing ZI in the faculty. “In ZI Development, commitment and full involvement of leadership is important. “All faculty leaders must involve themselves in both planning and performance agreements,” said Prof. Sabarinah. Apart from that, there are integrated services, in this case FPH UI has a Faculty Service Unit (ULF) which is one of the highlights in ZI Development in the faculty. It is stated that integrated services will simplify and speed up the service process which will influence the level of customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, Prof. Sabarinah also provided information regarding innovations in terms of digitalization carried out at FPH UI by building various information systems or applications that make work and services easier. “The emphasis on innovation in the form of applications or information systems is on the process of changing from manual implementation of work or services to a systemized one so that it has an impact on quality changes,” explained Prof. Sabarinah.
Apart from explanations regarding ZI Development, the Dean of FPH UI also provided brief information regarding the profile of FPH UI and expressed hope for the implementation of this comparative study. “Apart from sharing information, we also reviewed our preparations towards ZI WBBM (Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area) through this visit. Hopefully what was discussed in this meeting can provide new insights and interesting ideas for the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau which can be applied later in the faculty,” said the Dean of FPH UI in his speech.
