Being the oldest public health education institution in Indonesia, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) is a reference for various public health institutions in terms of quality and quality of education. As was the case on Friday, April 26, 2024, FPH UI received a visit from Suherman Medika University who wished to collaborate in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
Received in Meeting Room P209 RIK UI Building, this visit was the initial meeting to explore cooperation from Suherman Medical University to FPH UI. “This meeting was the start of discussion and sharing of views for FPH UI and Suherman Medika University so that they could later collaborate. Thank you for agreeing to come to FPH UI and make FPH UI a reference in relation to the quality of education. “Through discussions and possible cooperation, let’s jointly develop the institution to become a better public health institution,” said the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., warmly welcomed the visit from Medika University.
In general, the points put forward in exploring this collaboration include that Mediaka Suherman University wishes to collaborate with FPH UI in terms of education, research, and community service. “Our institution was founded in 2005 starting from a health sciences college and only transformed into a university in 2021. To improve the quality and quality of management of Suherman Medika University towards superior accreditation, we hope to collaborate in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education sector with FPH UI. “We hope that this collaboration will be based on MBKM, for example, our students can take several courses here, visit lectures from FPH to our University, join research and publications, further studies for our lecturers and staff, and so on,” said the Chancellor of Medika University. Through discussions between both parties, Dr. Asih Setiarini said that basically FPH UI can accommodate all collaborations, of course by paying attention to several prerequisites that already exist within the FPH UI environment, especially for implementing MBKM.
It is hoped that this visit will be a good start for cooperation between the two parties. FPH UI hopes to be able to provide guidance as expected as a partner in the future.
