Dean and Vice Deans of FPH UI 2025–2029 Officially Inaugurated, Ready to Expand Health Contributions for the Nation

On Monday, December 8, 2025, the Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony of Deans and Vice Deans for the 2025–2029 term was held at Universitas Indonesia (UI), led directly by the Rector of UI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU. This simultaneous inauguration of faculty leaders from eight faculties, conducted at the UI Convention Center, marked a strategic step by UI in ensuring the continuity of visionary leadership, while also opening a new chapter for the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) UI to continue its central role in addressing public health challenges at both national and global levels.

The newly inaugurated faculty leaders represented eight faculties: the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Psychology, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Public Health (FPH). In his remarks, the Rector of UI emphasized that faculty leadership, as the university’s front line, plays a vital role in ensuring academic quality, fostering research innovation, and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K. was officially inaugurated as Dean of FPH UI for the 2025–2029 period, together with two newly appointed Vice Deans: Prof. Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc. as Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, and Mila Tejamaya, S.Si., MOHS., Ph.D. as Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration. The three leaders are expected to further advance FPH UI in fulfilling the Tridharma of Higher Education and to expand its contributions to public health issues at various levels.

In his address, the Rector of UI expressed optimism that the new leadership across UI, including FPH UI, would strengthen an excellent academic culture, enhance research competitiveness, and broaden collaborative networks with national and international partners. “This position is a mandate, and we must safeguard it with the utmost responsibility for the advancement of UI. I invite all Deans and Vice Deans to harmonize corporate and academic cultures, so that each faculty becomes excellent and impactful. When faculties progress, the university progresses as well. This mandate is entrusted to you. I extend my gratitude to the previous faculty leaders who have worked together to build a strong foundation for UI’s sustainability,” concluded the Rector of UI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU.

The entire FPH UI community also expressed its appreciation for the dedication and service of the FPH UI leadership team for the 2021–2025 period: Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc. (Dean), Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc. (Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs), and Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si. (Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration). Their leadership over the past four years has laid a strong foundation for faculty governance, academic quality enhancement, and the advancement of research and community service.
