FPH UI Conducts Benchmarking Visit to the Faculty of Engineering UI to Strengthen Financial Governance and Partnerships

Depok, March 3, 2026 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Faculty of Engineering (FE) Universitas Indonesia (UI) on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The activity focused on financial management, partnerships, and venture management as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve institutional performance.

The benchmarking visit aimed to study financial management practices, partnership mechanisms, and venture management systems implemented at FE UI, including workflow processes, human resource management, and program implementation procedures. In addition, FPH UI explored the management of endowment funds as well as strategies for building and maintaining relationships with partners, alumni, government institutions, and other related stakeholders.

The Vice Dean for Resources, Venture, and General Administration of FPH UI, Mila Tejamaya, S.Si., MOHS., Ph.D., stated that the benchmarking visit was intended to directly observe how FE UI systematically and integratively manages its financial structures.

“The purpose of this activity is to encourage improvements at FPH UI by learning from practices that have been successfully implemented at FE UI, so that performance achievements can be optimized. Financial management at FE UI is considered more organized and systematic, and it offers various insights that we can adapt to strengthen FPH’s performance, particularly in terms of financial governance,” she explained.

Regarding performance management systems, the Vice Dean for Resources, Venture, and General Administration of FE UI, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, explained that FE applies a performance indicator person-in-charge (PIC) mechanism for every achievement target. Each PIC holds full responsibility for their assigned indicators and works to maximize their realization. All fund management, both BP and non-BP funds, is integrated within the finance division, making control and monitoring more effective.

During discussions on non-BP funds, FPH UI gained insights into how such funds are managed through the faculty’s finance system in accordance with existing university regulations. In addition to being managed through the faculty’s financial mechanism, non-BP funds are also administered by the Venture Unit, either independently or with faculty assistance to ensure governance compliance. Sources of non-BP funds come from various partnership schemes, including contracts with partners, facility services, educational collaborations, donations, and projects generally contracted under the faculty’s name. Monitoring and evaluation are conducted regularly to ensure the sustainability and quality of collaboration implementation.

Strategically, faculty reputation, the strength of individual networks, and the role of alumni—especially those occupying top management positions—are considered key factors in expanding partnerships. Various forms of collaboration with industry, including internship programs, consulting services, CSR initiatives, and corporate branding, are managed in an integrated and mutually supportive manner. To maintain long-term relationships, FE also provides appreciation to industry partners through award ceremonies.

The benchmarking visit was attended by leadership teams and management representatives from both faculties. Representing FPH UI were Vice Dean for Resources, Venture, and General Administration Mila Tejamaya, S.Si., MOHS., Ph.D.; Manager of Resources and Facility Management Lilis Komariyah, S.Kom., M.A.R.S.; Manager of Cooperation and Venture Dr. Budi Hartono, S.Si., M.K.M.; Finance Supervisor Fida Meitania, S.Sos.; Cooperation and Venture Supervisor Adi Putranto, S.E.; and Cooperation and Venture Staff member Rosmaida, S.K.M. Meanwhile, FE UI was represented by Vice Dean for Resources, Venture, and General Administration Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto and Manager of Cooperation, Venture, and Entrepreneurship Dr. Evi Anggraheni, S.T., M.T., along with their respective teams.

Through this activity, FPH UI hopes to adapt the best practices implemented at FE UI in order to strengthen financial governance, optimize partnerships, and sustainably develop venture initiatives as part of its commitment to becoming an increasingly excellent and impactful institution. (wrk)
