Depok, February 26, 2026 – The leadership team of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) for the 2025–2029 term conducted a roadshow to five departments within the faculty: the Department of Biostatistics and Population Studies, the Department of Occupational Health and Safety, the Department of Environmental Health, the Department of Health Administration and Policy, and the Department of Nutrition. Held from February 23–26, 2026, the initiative was led directly by the Dean alongside the Vice Deans and managerial team as part of the faculty’s initial leadership consolidation.
The roadshow served as a strategic forum to foster closer engagement with faculty members and educational staff, disseminate the faculty’s policy directions and work programs, and gather aspirations from each department. The occasion created an open dialogue space between the leadership and the academic community to align the faculty’s broader vision with the actual dynamics and needs at the departmental level.
During the strategic forum, the Dean and managerial team presented the faculty’s 2025 performance achievements as well as the directions and performance targets for 2026 at both departmental and study program levels. The presentation included a review of the 2025 departmental and study program performance contracts as a basis for collective evaluation, while also outlining the proposed 2026 performance contracts, including those for the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Public Health Sciences.
This approach reflects the leadership’s commitment to strengthening a performance culture based on measurable, transparent, and accountable indicators. Each department was encouraged to objectively assess its previous achievements and align new targets with the faculty’s strategic vision, particularly in improving educational quality, research productivity, and institutional reputation.
In more specific discussions, for example within the Nutrition Department’s Performance Agreement document, several strategic indicators were established in the areas of research and innovation. These included targets for publications in reputable international journals ranked Q1 and Q2, as well as outputs from international collaborative research articles. Additional targets covered the preparation of policy briefs, internal community engagement outputs, externally funded community service programs, and intellectual property rights (IPR) submissions.
In terms of strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, targets were also set for one team to participate in pre-incubation or business incubation programs, the submission of three innovative product development proposals, and one proposal under an entrepreneurship development program. From the funding perspective, the Nutrition Department aims to secure external research grants and funding or valuation for community service programs. Meanwhile, in governance and human resource development, the department established a target of 100 percent budget utilization effectiveness and competency improvement for at least 35 percent of faculty members and educational staff. The department also aims for one study program to undergo accreditation or reaccreditation processes in 2026.
Beyond academic matters, the leadership also presented various policies related to employee welfare. These efforts are part of creating a more appreciative and supportive working environment for faculty performance. In the area of facilities and infrastructure, the leadership outlined gradual maintenance and improvement plans.
The roadshow also served as a platform to socialize plans for the 61st Anniversary of FPH UI. Several planned activities include the publication of a commemorative book involving former Deans, Heads of Departments, and Department Secretaries; pre-incubation and startup competitions for students and faculty members; as well as an FPH UI mascot competition. International academic events such as IMOPH/YSOPH will also form part of the anniversary celebration series.
In terms of governance, the leadership reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Integrity Zone through six areas of reform, alongside the dissemination of the Service Charter. All faculty members will sign Integrity Pacts and are reminded to complete their State Officials’ Wealth Reports (LHKPN and LHKAN). These measures form part of broader efforts to reinforce accountability and transparency within faculty governance.
The Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., emphasized that the roadshow represents the initial phase of aligning collective steps forward. “We want to ensure that all policies and performance targets are comprehensively understood by every department. Internal synergy is the key to achieving the established targets and strengthening FPH UI’s position nationally and globally,” she stated.
Discussions held within each department also provided opportunities for input regarding the implementation of performance contracts, resource needs, and the optimization of facilities and academic support systems. Through these open dialogues, the leadership gained direct insight into the challenges and potential of each department.
This roadshow marks the initial consolidation of FPH UI’s 2025–2029 leadership, emphasizing target-based performance strengthening, employee welfare enhancement, infrastructure improvement, and governance rooted in integrity. With a clear strategic direction and the support of the entire academic community, FPH UI reaffirmed its commitment to continuously delivering impactful education, research, and community engagement for public health development in Indonesia.
