Depok, February 11, 2026 – The graduation send-off ceremony marked an important moment for the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at Universitas Indonesia in bidding farewell to and ushering its best graduates into a new chapter of service to society. The Graduation Send-Off Ceremony for the Odd Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026 was held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the G Hall of FPH UI.
The event not only symbolized the completion of academic studies but also reflected FPH UI’s commitment to reaffirming the strategic role of its graduates in addressing various public health challenges at both national and international levels.
The ceremony began with remarks from the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., who emphasized that the success of the 135 new graduates represented the culmination of dedication and a long academic journey undertaken by the students. “Today is a proud day for all of us as we gather to celebrate the achievements of 135 new graduates who have completed their academic journey at FPH UI,” said Prof. Indri. She explained that the graduates consisted of 58 undergraduate graduates, 60 master’s graduates, and 19 doctoral graduates who had reached the highest level of critical thinking in the field of public health.
Prof. Indri also highlighted the academic achievements of this graduation period, noting that 34 graduates, or approximately 25%, earned the Cum Laude distinction. She particularly appreciated the doctoral program, in which 53% of graduates achieved Cum Laude honors, compared to 31% in the undergraduate program and 10% in the master’s program. According to her, these achievements are reflected not only in diplomas and academic transcripts, but also in the commitment of FPH UI and its lecturers to maintaining standards of excellence at every level of education. “I hope this achievement is not merely written on diplomas, but also serves as proof that FPH UI continues to uphold standards of excellence in every educational process,” she added.
Furthermore, Prof. Indri emphasized that the transition from student to alumnus is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of a greater responsibility to make meaningful contributions to public health. She reminded the graduates that society does not merely await their academic titles, but also tangible solutions to increasingly complex health challenges in the future. “Society is not only waiting for your degrees, but also for real solutions to increasingly complex health challenges,” said Prof. Indri.
Prof. Indri also conveyed a message encouraging the graduates to uphold the good name of FPH UI, carry forward the values of integrity and collaboration cultivated during their studies, and remain connected with the faculty through alumni networks. In addition, she expressed appreciation to the parents for entrusting FPH UI to guide their children until graduation. She stressed that the graduates’ success was the result of unwavering prayers and family support. Concluding her remarks, Prof. Indri encouraged the graduates to step into the field of service as resilient and inspiring public health leaders. “Graduation is not the end of the story, but the beginning of a meaningful journey. Best wishes as you continue your service to society,” she said.
The Dean’s message aligned with the remarks delivered by the Secretary General of ILUNI FPH UI, Sri Gusni Febriasari, S.K.M., M.Psi.T. In her speech, she emphasized that the graduates’ achievements were the result of a long process filled with perseverance and the spirit of togetherness. “No success stands alone. In public health, every achievement is born from collective work and collaboration,” she stated.
Sri Gusni also welcomed the graduates as part of the ILUNI FPH UI family, which upholds the spirit of “Makara Ungu Saling Bantu” (Purple Makara Mutual Support). She explained that this spirit is embodied through the values of staying informed, staying connected, and helping one another as the foundation for maintaining alumni relations and strengthening collaboration to contribute meaningfully to public health in Indonesia. “Welcome to the ILUNI FPH UI family. With the spirit of Makara Ungu Saling Bantu, let us stay connected and continue supporting one another to create positive impacts for society,” she concluded.
In addition to remarks from the Dean and the Secretary General of ILUNI FPH UI, representatives from each academic level also delivered speeches. Hendi Imam Ramadhan from the Undergraduate Environmental Health Study Program represented the undergraduate graduates, Made Ratna Saraswati from the Master’s Program in Hospital Administration and Policy Studies represented the master’s graduates, and Duma from the Doctoral Program in Public Health Sciences represented the doctoral graduates. Undergraduate and master’s students also performed songs that concluded the moment of togetherness with warmth and meaning.
Through this graduation send-off ceremony, FPH UI reaffirmed its commitment to guiding students into graduates who are ready to make meaningful contributions to public health. The graduates of the Odd Semester Academic Year 2025/2026 are expected to begin their journeys as practitioners, researchers, and policymakers capable of providing solutions to increasingly complex health challenges, while continuing to uphold the values of integrity, collaboration, and the good name of FPH UI wherever they may be.
