Depok, 8 April 2026 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH), University of Indonesia (UI), received an educational visit from 63 students of SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta on Wednesday, 8 April 2026. The activity, held at the Doctoral Promotion Room of FPH UI, is part of an effort to introduce higher education—particularly in the field of public health—to senior high school students.
The visit was welcomed by the Manager of Academic Affairs, Internationalization, Student Affairs, and Alumni of FPH UI, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Environmental Health, Fitri Kurniasari, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D.; Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Abdul Kadir, M.Sc.; and Secretary of the Bachelor’s Program in Public Health, Dr. Eng. Stevan Deby Anbiya Muhammad Sunarno, S.K.M., M.K.K.K.
In her remarks, Dr. Laila Fitria expressed appreciation for the visit from SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta to FPH UI. She emphasized that campus visits such as this serve as an important platform for students to gain a closer understanding of various fields of study that may become their future academic choices.
“FPH UI warmly welcomes the visit from SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta. We hope that through this activity, students can gain a more comprehensive understanding of public health, its career prospects, and the various opportunities for personal development during their studies at FPH UI,” she said.
During the presentation sessions, the heads and secretary of the study programs introduced their respective program profiles, academic scope, curriculum structure, and career opportunities across various sectors at both national and international levels. The students were also given the opportunity to engage in direct discussions about university life, admission pathways to the University of Indonesia, and learning experiences at FPH UI.
The event took place in an interactive atmosphere, with high enthusiasm from the students of SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta, who actively asked questions about study programs and career prospects in the field of public health.
Through this visit, FPH UI hopes to continue serving as a source of inspiration for young generations to better understand the strategic role of public health sciences in addressing health challenges at local, national, and global levels. (wrk)
