Strengthening Academic Collaboration and Healthcare Services, FPH UI and Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta UIN Hospital Officially Establish Partnership

Jakarta, May 8, 2026 – As a tangible manifestation of Universitas Indonesia’s commitment to being both Excellent and Impactful, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI), has officially established a strategic partnership with Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta UIN Hospital. The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement was held on May 8, 2026, at Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta UIN Hospital.

This collaboration focuses on the implementation of field-based learning practices and academic data collection in the field of public health. The initiative forms part of FPH UI’s ongoing efforts to realize its vision of being a distinguished and excellent institution in producing competent and ethical public health professionals.

Synergy for Educational Excellence

The cooperation agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Dean of FPH UI, and dr. Syaifullah, MARS., MM., FISQua., FIHFAA, Director of Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta UIN Hospital. The partnership includes the provision of practical training sites for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students to undertake internships and residency programs.

In her remarks, Prof. Indri emphasized that this collaboration reflects UI’s core values of creating meaningful societal impact through quality education and research.

“This synergy ensures that our students not only excel academically but also develop practical competencies through direct exposure and guidance from healthcare professionals at UIN Hospital,” she stated.

Key Provisions of the Agreement

Under the agreement, Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta UIN Hospital is committed to providing training facilities, supporting infrastructure, and qualified supervisors to oversee and evaluate students participating in academic activities. Meanwhile, FPH UI is responsible for ensuring that students comply with institutional regulations, possess health insurance coverage, and obtain ethical clearance prior to conducting any data collection activities.

Regarding intellectual property rights, both institutions agreed that research outcomes may be used for scientific publications, provided that joint institutional affiliations are acknowledged and patient confidentiality is maintained through anonymization. All medical records and technical information are classified as confidential information and must be protected by both parties without any time limitation.

The agreement will remain effective for a period of two years, from March 30, 2026, to March 30, 2028.

This partnership is expected to further strengthen FPH UI’s position as a progressive and impactful educational institution. Through collaborations such as this, FPH UI graduates are expected to contribute innovative and effective public health solutions that support the well-being of the nation.

The signing ceremony concluded with a shared commitment to conduct regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the collaboration remains aligned with the common vision of enhancing the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.
