Depok, March 26, 2026 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to expand its role in national health development through collaboration with various partners. One such initiative was realized through a collaborative visit from the Jambi Provincial Health Office, held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the RIK Meeting Room, Building A, 3rd Floor, FPH UI.
The meeting aimed to strengthen synergy in the fields of education and health workforce capacity development. In her remarks, the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., stated that the collaboration is expected to create broad and meaningful impacts for both institutions.
“This meeting aims to strengthen the collaboration between FPH UI and the Jambi Provincial Health Office in improving the capacity and quality of each institution’s human resources in both education and health sectors. We hope that the benefits resulting from this collaboration can be scaled up to address community needs on a broader level,” she said.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to extend their cooperation agreement with a broader scope of collaboration. The partnership will not only involve the related institutions but is also planned to include local governments at the mayoral and gubernatorial levels to strengthen administrative support and coordination in program implementation.
In addition, the discussion emphasized the importance of establishing sustainable communication with educational institutions in the Jambi region. This effort is expected to foster an integrated health education ecosystem between central and regional institutions.
As part of strengthening human resource capacity, FPH UI also offered a scientific writing mentoring program through the Kesmas Journal team. The program is designed to support clinicians and health practitioners in Jambi in publishing research findings and best practices at national and international levels.
The meeting was attended by key representatives from both institutions. The delegation from the Jambi Provincial Health Office was led by the Head of the Jambi Provincial Health Office, Dr. dr. Ike Silviana, M.K.M., Sp.KKLP., FISQua. Meanwhile, representatives from FPH UI included the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K.; Manager of Partnerships and Ventures, Dr. Budi Hartono, S.Si., M.K.M.; Head of the Department of Biostatistics and Population Studies, Prof. Dr. Drs. Tris Eryando, M.A.; Head of the Department of Epidemiology, Dr. rer. medic. Putri Bungsu, S.K.M., M.Epid.; Head of the Doctoral Program in Epidemiology, Dr. dr. Helda, M.Kes.; and Head of the Master’s Program in Epidemiology, Trisari Anggondowati, S.K.M., M.Epid., Ph.D.
Through this collaboration, FPH UI and the Jambi Provincial Health Office reaffirmed their commitment to working together in enhancing the quality of health human resources and supporting sustainable health development in Indonesia. (ITM)
