FPH UI Collaborates with PT Sarana Multi Infrastuktur (Persero) in Internship and Research Activities

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the Universitas Indonesia (UI) officially signed a memorandum of mutual agreement in the field of the tri dharma of higher education with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero). The signing was carried out in the UI Floating Room by the Deputy Chancellor for Human Resources and Assets at UI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedi Priadi, DEA., and the Main Director of PT SMI, Edwin Syahruzad, and attended by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo and Dean of FEB UI, Teguh Dartanto, Ph.D., along with other representatives.

In general, the collaboration between UI and PT SMI includes research; capacity building and training activities; knowledge dissemination activities; partnerships in student field work practice or internship programs; and community empowerment.

Currently, collaboration between UI and PT SMI will only be carried out with the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). This collaboration includes internship and research programs in the fields of public health, economics, and business.

In collaboration with FPH UI, the initial stage that has been carried out is to provide opportunities for students of the Public Health Undergraduate Study Program specializing in Hospital Administration to undertake internships using the Student Centered Active Learning (SCAL) approach.

“Through internship activities in the context of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, which is a collaboration between UI and PT SMI, we hope that students can get the opportunity to gain new insights in the industrial world and provide opportunities for them to be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, be able to work in teams and communicate well with other team members, be able to maintain integrity, ethics and professionalism, and be able to lead and think systems. “This will be a good start for students to train their skills to become competent professionals, so they can compete in the world of work later,” said the Manager of Cooperation, Alumni Relations, and Ventures at FPH UI, Prof. Indri Hapsari Susilowati.
