FPH UI is Again Holding Screening for the Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases Through Posbindu Griseta

Screening for non-communicable diseases through posbindu activities is one of FPH UI’s efforts to maintain the health and welfare of the community and their extended families. Thanks to these routine activities, FPH UI won the award for the Best Implementation of Integrated Non-Communicable Disease Posts in 2023 on the 74th UI Anniversary. On Friday, March 8, 2024, Posbindu PTM Griseta FPH UI again carried out a routine agenda, a simple health examination in the form of screening for risk factors for non-communicable diseases accompanied by a health talk about non-communicable diseases. Participated by teaching staff, educational staff, students, and retired staff, posbindu was held in Lobby G and the Doctoral Promotion Room.

Screening is carried out through weighing, measuring height and abdominal circumference, as well as measuring blood pressure and checking blood sugar by Posbindu FPH UI cadres. The results of the screening were consulted with a public health nutritionist who is also a teaching staff at the FPH UI Nutrition Department, Dr. Ir. Diah M. Utari, M. Kes.

The health screening was followed by a health talk about non-communicable diseases delivered by the resource person who is a FPH UI Postgraduate Student, Dian Putri Yulianti, S.K.M., who is also the Health Promotion Staff at the Community Health Center. Dian delivered material regarding activities that can be carried out to prevent non-communicable diseases which she named CERDIK. CERDIK is an acronym for Regular health checks, get rid of cigarette smoke, Diligent physical activity, Balanced diet, get enough rest, and Manage stress. “By implementing CERDIK, you can minimize the risk of contracting non-communicable diseases. “Participating in routine posbindu activities like those carried out by FPH UI will also be very helpful for carrying out routine health checks,” said Dian explaining the material.

“Posbindu is a routine activity aimed at controlling and maintaining the health of the FPH UI extended family. “If you have a healthy body, it is hoped that you will have a good quality of life, work ethic and productivity,” said the Teaching Staff of the FPH UI Nutrition Department who is the driving force behind Posbindu Griseta FPH UI, Dr. Trini Sudiarti in her speech.
