Monday, March 4, 2024, as many as 120 students from SMA Negeri 2 South Tangerang visited the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI). This study visit was carried out with the aim of finding out information related to undergraduate programs and lecture information at FPH UI. During the visit received at the FPH UI Doctoral Promotion Room, the FPH UI Academic Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria; Head of the Department of Nutrition, Dr. Trini Sudiarti, as well as the Secretary of the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program, Dr. Al Asyary.
“I think a visit to FPH UI is the right step to be able to dig up information regarding lecture descriptions, curriculum, education costs and so on which will later be useful for students when determining their level of further education after high school,” said Dr. Al Asyary in his speech.
In the presentation session, the FPH UI Academic Manager gave a presentation about the general profile of FPH UI. Information regarding study programs, capacity, selection for new student admissions, rigor, education costs, curriculum, learning methods, facilities and scholarships was provided by Dr. Laila to provide an overview to the visiting participants before continuing with the study program profile presentation.
The Chair of the FPH UI Nutrition Department focuses more on providing information about the nutrition study program. This information includes an introduction to college life in general as well as an explanation regarding the academic and learning systems implemented in the nutrition study program. Apart from that, the Secretary of the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program, Dr. Al Asyary, also shared information about the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program. This information includes, among other things, the differences between environmental health and environmental engineering, curriculum, types of courses, Merdeka Belajar Campus Merdeka activities, as well as internship activities and field visits carried out by Undergraduate Environmental Health students.
Through visits like this, it is hoped that it can help students get to know the study programs at FPH UI better, especially undergraduate programs, as well as increase their knowledge and insight regarding information related to study life at FPH UI. (wrk)
