Monday, December 18, 2023, FPH UI received a visit from the Gadjah Mada University Team and a team from Middlesex University England at the FPH UI Depok campus. Kunjugan aims to explore the possibility of cooperation in utilizing information technology for health services in health facilities, disseminating joint programs related to developing digital twin curricula for health system resilience, and efforts to increase the capacity of health workers and health professionals towards digital health transformation.
The Department of Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FKKMK) UGM in collaboration with Middlesex University is currently implementing the Developing Connected Curriculum on Digital Twin for Health System Resilience activity. The collaboration between the two is based on the need for health system resilience to strengthen Indonesia’s preparedness and response to crises in the health sector, especially during the pandemic. The Indonesian Ministry of Health includes strengthening the health system as a priority agenda. A new curriculum with digital technology as the core of learning is needed to increase capacity and train health human resources (HR) as one of the determinants of the health system resilience framework.
Based on the results of discussions during this visit, FPH UI will follow up on several potential collaborations including conducting research (simulation modeling), developing curriculum substance related to digital health and exploring outbound activities for FPH UI lecturers and students.
