FPH UI Shares Good Practices for Building Integrity Zones at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang

The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) received a comparative study visit from the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) Imam Bonjol State Islamic University (UIN) Padang on Thursday, 26 October 2023. A total of 16 participants were received in the FPH UI Professor Room.

“Through the visit we received, we ourselves not only shared the good practices that we had carried out during the construction of the Integrity Zone (ZI), especially ZI – Corruption Free Area (WBK) at FPH UI, but we also reviewed our preparations towards ZI – Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM),” said the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., in his speech.

Not only the Dean, from FPH UI there was also the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si.; Faculty Secretary, Nelasari, M.K.M.; Deputy General Manager, Lilis Komariyah, M.A.R.S., as well as representatives of the ZI team from each lever. Meanwhile, from FEBI UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, the Dean, Ahmad Wira, M.Si., M.Ag., Ph.D., and his staff were present.

During this comparative study visit, FPH UI not only shared insights about the ZI Development process but also introduced the profile of the faculty through a presentation delivered by the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, FPH UI, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc. The sharing session on ZI Development practices was carried out in a discussion format which allowed FEBI to convey the main points it wanted to know from the implementation of ZI Development at FPH UI. In this discussion, Dr. Milla said that the first step that needed to be taken was to form a faculty ZI team. FPH UI itself forms a team for each lever which contains members who suit their main duties in their field of work. “This team formation strategy was created to make it easier to carry out tasks, because it is in line with the work so it will be more optimal in carrying out tasks in the ZI,” explained Dr. Milla. There are 3 (three) teams that need to be formed to facilitate the next process, namely the ZI Development team, survey team and change agent team.

Based on Permenpan No. 52 of 2012 concerning Guidelines for the Development of Integrity Zones Towards Corruption-Free Areas and Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Areas within Government Agencies, Integrity Zones (ZI) are the title given to government agencies whose leadership and staff are committed to realizing a Free Zone Corruption (WBK)/Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM) through bureaucratic reform, especially in terms of preventing corruption and improving the quality of public services.
