FPH UI Welcomes 11 Foreign Students Participating in Environmental UI Creates 2023

The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) again welcomes foreign students participating in the University of Indonesia Credit Earning Program (UI-CREATES). This time, FPH UI welcomed 11 foreign students from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Malaya (UM) and Mahidol University, Thailand. Taking place in the FPH UI Doctoral Promotion Room on Monday, September 11 2023, this event was attended by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.; FPH UI Education Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Manager of Cooperation, Alumni and Venture Relations FPH UI, Prof. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D.; Head of the Environmental Health Department, FPH UI, Dr. Drg. Ririn Arminsih Wulandari, M.Kes., along with KL Department lecturers; UPM Representative, Prof. Dr. Juliana Jalaludin; and Mahidol University Representative, Prof. Dr. April Camilla and UM Representative, Prof. Dr. Sharifah Mohamad who attended virtually.

Participants in the Environmental UI Creates Program have taken online courses for 5 days, namely 4-8 September 2023. Monday, 11 September 2023 is the first day that the program will be implemented offline at FPH UI which will last until 18 September 2023. “We hope that after a week Following online courses, participants have begun to study several issues related to environmental health in Indonesia and several special regions. Some of the participants may even have gained insight into differences in conditions with their home countries. “I hope that more and more valuable things can be learned, discussed and shared together during this program, including the culture of each country,” said the Dean of FPH UI in his speech.

Apart from learning in class with lecturers from the Environmental Health Department, FPH UI about environmental quality analysis and spatial analysis of environmental health, participants will also undertake field visits and industrial visits, Jakarta city tours, as well as interactions with the UI environmental health student organization, ENVIHSA.
