The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) has again undergone national accreditation by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Indonesian Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). This time, accreditation is aimed at the FPH UI Undergraduate Public Health Study Program. Field assessment activities were carried out on 27-29 October 2023 by two assessors, namely Prof. Dr. Ridwan Amiruddin, S.K.M., M.Kes., M.Sc.PH., and Dr. Dra. Nur Endah Wahyuningsih, M.S.
The field assessment activity began with a presentation by the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) represented by the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., and the Study Program (PS) represented by the Head of the FPH UI Undergraduate Public Health Study Program, Dr. Robiana Modjo, S.K.M., M.Kes. What was presented included macro policies, management systems, development plans, and revisions to document data. The presentation was continued by the Quality Assurance Unit which explained the implementation of the determination, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement (PPEPP) cycle.
Furthermore, the assessor team also interviewed five parties, namely graduate users to confirm graduate competency, expectations, satisfaction and input regarding study program outcomes; students from two different cohorts to confirm involvement, achievement, service, and satisfaction as well as input for educational improvement; educational staff to confirm the performance, involvement, service and satisfaction of educational staff; study program lecturers to confirm Tri Dharma performance, involvement, service and lecturer satisfaction; as well as alumni to confirm graduate competencies, expectations, satisfaction and input for the development of study programs.
National accreditation is an important part of higher education management. It is hoped that the FPH UI Bachelor of Public Health Science study program can continue to maintain its superior title and provide the best quality public health education in Indonesia. (WR)
