The Master of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Study Program at the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) underwent national accreditation from Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) on 9 – 11 November 2023. Two people attended assessor, dr. Mateus Sakundarno Adi, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Dr. Chatarina U. Wahyuni, M.S., M.P.H., in this accreditation process. The accreditation assessment of the Master of OSH Study Program was the last among the accreditation assessments of other study programs this year.
Before entering the accreditation assessment stage, LAM-PTKes as the assessment body, carries out Accreditation Monev (monitoring and evaluation) and AIA (Academic Internal Audit) which provides assessment points to be used as a reference for improvements and improvements that must be carried out by the study program.
The criteria used for assessment include 9 (nine) things, namely Vision, Mission, Goals and Strategy; Tata Pamong; Student; Human Resources (HR); Finance and Facilities; Education; Study; Community Service (Community Service); Outcomes and Achievements. Meanwhile, the result in the accreditation assessment is an event report which will later be discussed in the assembly session by LAM-PTKes. Then, the results will be in the form of determining accreditation status for the study program which will be valid for five years.
This accreditation assessment plays an important role in various things, especially for graduates who will later face job acceptance and the reputation it will bring. Thus, it is hoped that the accreditation held by Master of OSH Study Program can still be maintained with superior status, the highest status previously held.
“Of the six study programs (study programs), there are three study programs that have international accreditation, Master of Hospital Administration and Master of Public Health. For the Master of OSH itself, the target is next year,” said the Coordinator of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit, Dian Wulandari. (ITM)
