Pre-Graduation FPH UI Odd Semester 2023/2024, FPH UI Dean Orders to Maintain Integrity After Graduation

The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) held Pre-Graduation activities for the 2023/2024 Odd Semester on Monday, 19 February 2024 at the UI Convention Hall. The pre-graduation event was attended by 280 prospective graduates consisting of 98 prospective graduates from bachelor’s level, 166 prospective graduates from master’s level, and 16 prospective graduates from doctoral level.

Opened by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., this event was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si.; Chair of the Faculty Professors Council, Secretary of the Faculty Academic Senate, Faculty Secretary, Managers, Department Chairs, Study Group Chairs, LPPKM Chair, Study Program Chairs, Coordinators, and Chair of ILUNI FPH UI.

“FPH UI, as the oldest and best FPH in Indonesia, always strives to make continuous improvements in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the excellence of educational programs at the national and international levels. Of all the study programs owned by FPH, they have been accredited as superior nationally and four study programs have been accredited internationally. This year, it is targeted that two more study programs will follow to obtain international accreditation. FPH UI also strives to always coordinate with national and international institutions to increase student awareness and ability in solving public health problems at both national and international levels. “Collaboration with international parties is also becoming more intense in line with the vision of internationalization,” said the Dean of FPH UI in his speech. The Dean of FPH UI also said that based on graduation statistics, 35% of undergraduate program graduates achieved cum laude predicate, 40% of master’s program graduates achieved cum laude predicate, and 56% of doctoral graduates achieved cum laude predicate. In total, almost 40% of all FPH UI graduates achieved the cum laude predicate at the 2023/2024 Odd Semester graduation. “It is hoped that UI graduates will become references for their colleagues. “Continue to hone yourself and don’t forget to build a noble personality and be devoted to God Almighty and always maintain your integrity,” the Dean of FPH UI advised the graduates.

At this pre-graduation event, undergraduate students gave song performances from a trio of students consisting of Lowly Cania from the Bachelor of Public Health Extension Class; Elsye Tendenan from Bachelor of Public Health Extension Class, and Elisabet Anggita from Bachelor of Nutrition. Singing a medley of the songs “The Best for You” and “Seventeen” with a video background of memorable moments from the undergraduate graduates, the trio’s performance made a touching impression on the graduates. Apart from that, master’s level students also gave performances in the form of songs and dances which brought the atmosphere back to cheerfulness. Singing the song “Rungkad” performances from Wafiq Febri, a graduate of the OHS Master Program, Nur A’isyah Amalia Putri from the Public Health Master Program, Novie Irawaty Laura Manurung from the Public Health Master Program, and Irwiena Tahar True from the Public Health Master Program succeeded in bringing a cheerful atmosphere by inviting all the graduates and invited guests sang and swayed together.

“FPH UI graduates are not only active in the world of health but also industry, like most graduates from Environmental Health and OHS. The magnitude of the opportunity also means the magnitude of the challenge. Therefore, FPH UI graduates must be smart in carrying themselves, taking opportunities and managing targets,” concluded the Chair of ILUNI FPH UI, Muhammad Izzad Lubis, S.K.M., in his speech. (wrk)
