A total of 57 students and 11 accompanying teachers visited FPH UI with the aim of finding out about the departments at FPH UI.

Present as a resource person was the Academic Manager of FPH UI, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M, M.K.M.; Head of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program, Dr. Ir. Diah M. Utari, M.Kes.; Head of the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program, Dr. Ema Hermawati, S.K.M., M.Si., and Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Undergraduate Study Program, Mila Tedjamaya, S.Si., MOHS., Ph.D.

FPH UI, which is the oldest and best public health institution in Indonesia, currently has four undergraduate programs, namely the Public Health Undergraduate Study Program, the Nutrition Undergraduate Study Program, the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program, and the Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) Undergraduate Study Program.

“The FPH UI Nutrition Study Program is a product that aims to produce graduates who are able to analyze and provide solutions to existing health problems,” said Dr. Diah while explaining about the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program. Doctor Diah also said that graduates of the FPH UI Nutrition Study Program can work in various fields such as: Food and Nutrition Program Planners in Non-Governmental Organizations, International Non-Government Organizations, Community Health Centers, Health Services, researchers in nutrition and health research institutions; teaching staff in government and private educational institutions, consultants and nutritionists in the food and food service industry, including hospital and clinic catering. The Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program has currently been accredited as superior nationally from LAM-PTKes and internationally accredited by AUN-QA.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ema explained about the profile of the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program which currently has excellent accreditation from LAM-PTKes. “Environmental Health Bachelors from FPH UI are expected to be able to analyze environmental exposure risks, predict health impacts due to environmental exposure, and develop alternative solutions to environmental health problems,” explained Dr. Emma.

The youngest undergraduate program, namely OHS FPH UI, is the only OHS undergraduate study program in Indonesia from a state university. “The OHS undergraduate program emerged because of the large demand from the industrial world for OHS experts who specifically master knowledge about occupational safety and health,” said Dr. Mila Tedjamaya. The OHS Undergraduate Program has also been accredited as nationally superior by LAM-PTKes.

“As the oldest public health faculty, FPH UI always strives to provide the best quality of learning and education for students, one of which is through accreditation and the competence of its lecturers. So, students who will join as FPH UI students later do not need to worry because they will gain knowledge from experts who have proven expertise and knowledge,” said Dr. Laila in her speech. (wrk)
