Receiving a Comparative Study Visit from the Riau College of Pharmacy, FPH UI Nutrition Department Shares Information on Study Program Implementation

On Friday, April 26, 2024, the Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) received a visit from the Riau College of Pharmacy. Aiming to find out about the implementation of the Nutrition Study Program at FPH UI, this visit was received in the FPH UI Professor’s Room.

“The FPH UI Nutrition Study Program is still relatively young because it only opened in 2008, but it does have several distinctive characteristics, such as curriculum placement per semester grouped by theme and differentiated into levels, namely generic, basic, intermediate and advanced. Lectures are carried out using a semester credit system (SKS) with a total weight of 144 credits which refers to the curriculum of professional organizations. “The curriculum in the FPH UI Nutrition Study Program is also grouped into categories, namely Biomedical Group, Food Science Group, Nutrition Science Group, Social Science Group, Public Health Science Group, and Research Group,” said Secretary of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program, Wahyu Kurnia Yusrin Putra, S.K.M., M.K.M., introduced the profile of the FPH UI Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program.

Planning to establish a Nutrition Science Study Program, the Riau College of Pharmaceutical Sciences at FPH UI learned about the management of the FPH UI Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program including curriculum, human resources (educators and education staff), cooperation, implementation of Independent Learning Campus (MBKM), facilities and other things that are considered important in the implementation of the nutrition study program.

“Learning with MBKM actually provides opportunities for students to develop creativity, capacity and independence in learning. “Because what they have done while they were students is more attractive to graduate users than just graduating on time with good grades,” said Wahyu Kurnia Yusrin Putra, S.K.M., M.K.M., Secretary of the FPH UI Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program, talking about the benefits of MBKM for students. Apart from the benefits, he also talked about the regulations, flow and MBKM activities that FPH UI students take part in, especially from the Nutrition Study Program.

Present at this visit from FPH UI was the Head of the Department of Nutrition, Dr. Ir. Tri Sudiarti, M.Sc.; Head of the Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program, Dr. Ir. Diah M. Utari, M.Kes.; and Secretary of the Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program, Wahyu Kurnia Yusrin Putra, S.K.M., M.K.M. Meanwhile, from STIFAR Riau, the Chairman of the Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Thamrin, M.Sc.; Foundation Secretary, Drs. Jasril, M.S.; Chair of Institute Establishment, Dr. apt. Seftika Sari, M.P.H., and his staff. (wrk)
