In 2023, the Student Associations at the Faculty of Public Health of Universitas Indonesia are determined through the Dean’s Decree No. 117 of 2023. The Student Associations, or hereafter referred to as Lembaga Kemahasiswaan (LK), consists of:

One of the departments under the Faculty of Public Health’s Student Executive Body, namely the Department of Student Advocacy and Welfare (Adkesma), regularly held a program called “Interactive Dialogue” which is a forum for channeling students’ aspirations, complaints, and suggestions to the faculty’s leaders related to facilities, financing, and academic issues.
The forum can move in two directions, vertically and horizontally. Vertical movement is carried out through an advocacy process to the faculty’s leadership while horizontal movement is carried out by collecting aspirations, complaints, and questions from students before the forum was held.
After the forum was held, the Department of Student Advocacy and Welfare will make a press release which will be published through the Student Executive Body’s social media as a form of accountability.
As a form of support for fellow students, the Department of Student Advocacy and Welfare has a work program called CURMA (Curhat Bareng Adkesma) to facilitate students who have problems related to mental health which can indirectly affect their study conditions. Students who have problems can reach out to peer counselors, which has been trained by psychologists to handle this kind of situation.
Other than CURMA, the Department of Student Advocacy and Welfare also collects aspirations from undergraduate and postgraduate students related to facilities, financing, and academic issues which will be conveyed to the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health through the Interactive Dialogue forum.
Social activities held by the Student Unions in 2023:
1) In 2023, the Student Executive Board from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia held a community service program called “FKM UI Peduli” for the 19th time. The community service program involves all students from within the faculty, especially new students, as well as students from other faculties within the Universitas Indonesia. The program was held in Selawangi Village, Sukabumi Regency, focusing on providing efforts to handle Stunting risk factors by increasing awareness of elements of society regarding knowledge and skills regarding Stunting issues, as well as providing recommendations for handling Stunting risk factors.
2) Bakti Sosial Pas OKK (BAKPAO), which is one of the work programs from the Department of Social Community of the faculty’s Student Executive Board. It was held in the form of a community service which seeks to instill value of concern for surrounding environmental problems to new undergraduate students of the faculty.
3) The Student Association for Extension Students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia held a community service program called PROAKTIF (Fun and Interactive Health Promotion) targeted to elementary school students from Grade 1 to Grade 3, with objectives:
a) Educate students about Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) by showing them how to properly wash their hands using soap, so the kids can practice and adapt the behavior in their daily activities,
b) Educate students about the importance of implementing the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior to prevent disease transmission,
c) Educate students about how to properly brush their teeth.
4) The Student Association for Nutrition Students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia organizes:
a) Nutrition Expo 13 with the theme “Know Your Nutrition: Love Future Generation” with the aim of increasing public understanding of nutrition which is important for reducing the problems of malnutrition and anemia, as well as for maintaining health and survival, both for themselves and the next generation. The target activities are high school students in Jabodetabek area, Indonesian students, practitioners, academics, NGOs, startups and the general public who work in the fields of nutrition, health and the environment. A series of activities starting from July 2023 to November 2023 consisting of Poster/Article Competition activities, Nutrition Examination/Consultation, nutrition and health education for students and children at the Sakinah Depok Orphanage Foundation, and holding the 8th International Seminar on Nutrition,
b) Nutrition Community Service which aims to provide education to increase knowledge, awareness and concern among high school students about the importance of food safety for school snacks. This activity was held at SMAN 38 Jakarta.
The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia has a special working unit called the Lembaga Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (Community Service and Devotion Unit) intended as a means of applying the knowledge and expertise possessed by the university, as well as applying technology and art for the benefit of the community and residents of the university.
The officials from the Faculty of Public Health are committed to maintaining the university’s principles by signing the Integrity Pact. In addition to that, the Faculty of Public Health formed an Integrity Zone Development Team which was appointed through a Dean’s Decree. The establishment of the Integrity Zone Development Team aims to oversee the implementation of the Integrity Zone development in the Faculty of Public Health area in order to realize a service unit that has high performance and integrity. The efforts made have led the Faculty of Public Health to successfully obtain the title of Corruption-Free Area in November 2021. The Faculty of Public Health has also established a policy of Gratification Control and Reporting of Whistleblowing System (WBS) violations through a Dean’s Decree as well as forming an Anti-Bribery Compliance Committee (Komisi Kepatuhan Anti Penyuapan). One of lecturers at the Faculty of Public Health, Prof. Dr. dr. L Meily Kurniawidjaja, published a book entitled Academic Culture. In a bigger context, this book consists of eight domains of study:
1) Academic Thinking, with its characteristics of objective rational thinking, straight thinking and adherence to principles.
2) Academic Ethics, with its core being honesty and integrity.
3) Academic Behavior, which essentially respects each other whose base is expertise, with an academic community structure based on kinship and cooperation, commonly called collegiality, and communication patterns based on valid arguments, based on scientific references, consensus and legislation.
4) Theory of Thinking. The purpose of this chapter is to incorporate logic into the academic world, regardless of faculty and department. Everyone, especially scholars, must understand logic which is nothing but a straight way of thinking.
5) Theory of Science.
6) Theory of Truth and Error.
7) Theory of Learning and Teaching.
8) Indonesianness in a Cultural Perspective.

In 2023, lecturers from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia are members of the Committee for Management of Respiratory Diseases and the Impact of Air Pollution. The Committee carries out the following activities:
1) Develop a strategic plan and action plan to overcome respiratory diseases and the impact of air pollution,
2) Design an implementation and evaluation methodology related to programs to combat respiratory diseases and the impact of air pollution,
3) Develop a program to prevent respiratory diseases, especially those related to the impact of air pollution.
