“I believe that education is not only a matter of reason, but also a matter of the heart. As educators, we are also obliged to provide a spiritual perspective to our students. “For this reason, the Tarhib Ramadan and Tasyakuran events were held with the aim of increasing our work enthusiasm as educators, as well as welcoming the holy month which will be coming soon,” said the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., gave a speech in front of all the leadership, academic community and the FPH UI extended family.

Furthermore, Prof. Mondastri also read out FPH UI’s performance achievements in 2023 which were classified as very satisfactory. FPH UI received 18 awards at the 74th UI Anniversary. The awards, which consist of 13 faculty level awards, 1 award for study programs, 1 award for journals, and 3 individual awards for lecturers, were awarded to faculties, work units and individuals who excelled in various fields throughout 2023. Present as a speaker, Dr. Muhammad Zen, Lc., M.A., C.DAI., Postgraduate Lecturer in Da’wah Management at UIN Jakarta. “Marhaban comes from the word rahb which means breadth, joy and love. Marhaban ya Ramadan means we must welcome the month of Ramadan with feelings of joy and joy. “With the many virtues of the month of Ramadan, starting from multiplying good deeds, opening the gates of heaven, shackled demons, we should miss this holy month,” said Dr. Muhammad Zen.

In the month of Ramadan, people generally compete to worship. According to Dr. Muhammad Zen, even work activities can be intended for worship as long as we are faithful and sincere in carrying them out. “Good performance can also be considered success for believers,” he said. Doctor Muhammad Zen also gave a recipe for improving worship and performance during the month of Ramadan, namely by increasing infaq, maintaining emotions, and giving forgiveness.

We hope that the entire FPH UI extended family will be given the opportunity and health to spend the month of Ramadan as well as possible. (WR)
