Collaborations and health services

Current collaborations with health institutions

In 2022, the Faculty of Public Health collaborated with health institutions through research conducted by students and lecturers in the field of Public Health at local, national, and global levels. One of the collaborations between Faculty of Public Health lecturers with National Hospital Cipto Mangunkusumo is through the publication of research article: Factors Influenced the Endoscopic Services Volume during the COVID-19 Pandemic at National Tertiary Referral Hospital in Indonesia: Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.

The results of this research are the necessity to create SOPs or uniformity of service flow in work units that provide the same service products, even though the transmission of COVID-19 is an example of a very dynamic and unstable situation. At least there must be clinical practice guidelines regarding procedures for treating infectious diseases. The hospital also needs to start separating infectious and non-infectious patients. This separation will certainly increase ward capacity for patients undergoing procedures, including endoscopy. Efforts to disseminate policies from the highest level to the lowest level require simultaneous and continuous efforts and there must be an evaluation of whether each party has accepted the policy and how it is implemented.
