Continuing the steps in bureaucratic reform, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) is currently in the process of developing the Integrity Zone (ZI) for the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (WBBM), after achieving the title of the Integrity Zone for Corruption-Free Area (WBK) in December 2021. The Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (WBBM) is a title awarded to a work unit/area that meets most of the criteria in management change, organizational arrangements, human resource management system arrangements, strengthening supervision, strengthening performance accountability, and improving public service quality.
In 2024, FPH UI is the only work unit under the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikristekdikti) that passed the TPI assessment in the contest for the WBBM Integrity Zone title. Various steps have been taken by FPH UI in this process. On Monday, August 5, 2024, FPH UI received a visit for the strengthening of the Integrity Zone Development from the Organizational and Governance Bureau (Ortala) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The visit, which took place in the PA212 room of the RIK UI building, aimed to validate the desk evaluation, experience and observe the services firsthand, and hear testimonials directly from the stakeholders served. This visit was conducted to assess FPH UI’s readiness for the next evaluation process from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB).
“This year, the selection process has become stricter, so we are also closely monitoring it. Last year, there was no administrative selection, in 2023 there were 11 administrative selections, and in 2024 there were only 5. Since FPH UI is the only unit from Ristekdikti that passed and was submitted for WBBM, we are now trying to assist with preparations for the interview stage because the presentation made by you all needs to be focused on the key points,” said Mrs. Ovi S.R.
Next, the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FPH UI, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., conducted a simulation of the WBBM Integrity Zone Development presentation that will be delivered in front of the evaluation team from KemenPAN-RB. Various innovations implemented by FPH were highlighted in Dr. Milla’s presentation.
Based on Dr. Milla’s presentation, the Ortala Bureau team provided input on various aspects that should be reduced, added, or highlighted in the presentation. “It is important to add a slide regarding innovations that have been replicated in a separate slide to emphasize that FPH UI’s innovations have also been utilized by other parties, as well as contributions from FPH UI in the reform process,” said Mrs. Ovi.
In addition to conducting a presentation simulation, the FPH UI team also guided the Ortala Bureau team to visit the service counters at FPH UI, including the ULF, and to inspect various facilities and infrastructure at FPH UI to assess its readiness for the visit from the KemenPAN-RB evaluation team.
In addition to Mrs. Ovi and her six team members from the Ortala Bureau, FPH UI was represented by the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si.; Faculty Secretary, Nelasari, S.K.M., M.K.M.; and the entire Integrity Zone Development team from each of FPH UI’s leverages.
