Final Preparations for ZI-WBBM Assessment, FPH UI Again Provides Socialization and Refreshment for Service Officers

Currently, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) is undergoing the final assessment process towards achieving the Integrity Zone (ZI) for Clean and Serving Bureaucracy (WBBM). This phase follows the previous stage, where FPH UI was awarded the Integrity Zone for Free from Corruption (WBK) in 2021.

“ZI is a government program, but we are working on the continuous development of ZI within the faculty, striving to consistently implement the good values it contains in our daily work for quality services. The spirit of providing quality service is the outcome of ZI,” said Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration at FPH UI, opening her presentation.

WBBM is a designation given to a work unit that has successfully implemented bureaucratic reform very well, meeting most of the criteria for process improvements in the components that drive the realization of clean and accountable governance and excellent public service.

To prepare for the ZI-WBBM assessment, FPH UI conducted a socialization and refreshment session for the service staff within the faculty who are at the forefront of the service process. Held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Grand Professor Room and Doctoral Promotion Room at FPH UI, the event was attended by educational staff from the Academic Subunit, Department Secretariat, as well as security and cleaning staff at FPH UI.

In her presentation, Dr. Milla emphasized that as an educational institution, the Tri Dharma of Higher Education is the key to success. The success of implementing the Tri Dharma is not only the responsibility of the faculty members but also the educational staff, especially those providing front-line academic services, which are the core business processes. “If academic services do not run well within the faculty, it will hinder the overall business process. Therefore, the educational staff who provide academic services to our main external users, the students, need to refresh their understanding of the development of ZI, which focuses on excellent service. In providing excellent service, we must pay attention to timeliness and good communication. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must also be well implemented, as they contain our contract with service users, namely the students. What is stated in the SOP is the service standard that must be carried out,” explained Dr. Milla. “As a faculty, FPH UI must focus on the services provided, as this will impact our reputation. This is in line with ZI development, which focuses on two key aspects: public service and clean, anti-corruption bureaucracy,” added Dr. Milla.

In delivering excellent service, FPH UI has previously launched its service motto, FPH UI SEHAT, which is an acronym for: Serving with politeness and sincerity; Effective, efficient, and transparent; Humanely adhering to the principles of equality and justice; Actively serving and providing solutions; and Responsive to complaints. This motto serves as the service standard implemented within FPH UI.

In addition to the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration at FPH UI, the event was also attended by the Faculty Secretary, Nelasari, M.K.M.; General Manager, Dr. Martya Rahmaniati Makful; Academic Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria; Deputy General Manager, Lilis Komariyah, M.A.R.S.; Head of the Master’s Program in Public Health, Dr. Budi Hartono; Coordinator of the Academic Subunit, Amalia Kuswarjanti, S.K.M., and Coordinator of the HR Subunit, Dwi Asijati, S.E.
