Strengthening Relationships, FPH UI Holds Motivation Building for Teaching Staff

As the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) celebrates its 59th anniversary, it is only natural that the members of the faculty family undergo changes over time. The addition of new members and the conclusion of the service of others is an inevitability to ensure the continuity of the academic and business processes in alignment with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

To bridge the relationship between senior and newly joined faculty members, FPH UI organized a Motivation Building (MB) event for the faculty staff from September 21-23, 2024. The Motivation Building event took place in Bali and was attended by 76 faculty members from 7 departments at FPH UI.

In his opening speech, the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, expressed his hopes, stating, “We hope that this moment becomes a time of togetherness between senior and junior faculty members, and across departments, to get to know each other better, collaborate, and work together further, especially when we return to campus.”

In addition to strengthening relationships, the MB event was also filled with games that emphasized the importance of building a solid and professional team. Furthermore, all faculty members participating in the MB event showcased creative performances representing their departments as a platform for expressing aspirations, ideas, and suggestions for the improvement of FPH UI and public health in general. Each department presented creative ideas in various formats such as role play, skits, dramas, as well as dance and music performances.

The MB event for the faculty staff received a very positive response from the participants. Prof. Dumilah Ayuningtyas, Head of the Department of Health Administration and Policy, expressed her happiness about the event. “Alhamdulillah, we are grateful. Thank you to the faculty leadership, dear colleagues and their families. We are thankful for this wonderful moment of togetherness. We are all in good health and hope to meet again in the future.”

The Head of the Department of Environmental Health at FPH UI, Dr. Ririn Arminisih Wulandari, expressed a similar sentiment. “Thank you to the professors, fathers, mothers, siblings, and all the committee members for this very enjoyable togetherness. We were able to get to know one another through fun activities that made everyone happy. I hope we all stay healthy and under His protection. See you in next year’s exciting events. Stay united and healthy, both physically and spiritually,” said Dr. Ririn.

This well-executed event certainly aligned with the faculty’s goals. It not only strengthened relationships but also boosted motivation, created a refreshing atmosphere, and built positive energy amidst the daily routine. -sf-
