Maintaining Service Quality, FPH UI Conducts Integrated Internal Quality Audit for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 37001:2016

On October 14 and 16, 2024, the Faculty Administration Center (PAF) of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again organized an integrated Internal Quality Audit (IQA) for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System. The IQA was conducted with the aim of maintaining the quality of the faculty’s services and ensuring the sustainability of the implementation of both quality management system standards. The IQA, coordinated by the Non-Academic Quality Assurance Subunit of FPH UI, was attended by all work units under the management of the FPH UI Dean’s Office.

“IQA is an annual event that serves as one of our efforts to always maintain the quality of services at the faculty. Afterward, we also take external measures through certification and surveillance from external audit bodies. Improvements from these evaluations must be continuously made so that they can become corrective actions for the services we provide,” said Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FPH UI, during the opening meeting held at the FPH UI Professor’s Room.

It was also mentioned that this year, FPH UI’s internal auditors have increased in number with newly trained administrative staff. This aims to involve more administrative staff in understanding the processes carried out during the IQA. “The cross-evaluation conducted by the administrative staff across units is highly anticipated because often the errors of one unit can be seen by others. This provides valuable input for improvement in that unit,” added Dr. Milla.

The IQA this time was carried out alternately between units, with audits based on clauses. The selection of clauses was made by considering the operational processes most frequently interacting with external parties and those identified as being at risk of bribery. This was intended to align the IQA with the objectives of establishing an Integrity Zone. One of these objectives focuses on improving service quality and implementing clean bureaucracy in serving customers.

The closing meeting marked the end of the IQA on the second day, where each auditor presented a brief summary of the IQA results. The closing meeting was attended by Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FPH UI, and Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FPH UI. The results of the IQA will be followed up in the Management Review Meeting, which is scheduled for October 29, 2024. This activity is part of the preparation series for the PAF FPH UI in facing the Surveillance Audit on November 11-12, 2024, from Garuda Certification Indonesia and November 19-20, 2024, from DQS Certification Indonesia.
