The Student Exchange Program at Inje University is part of FPH UI’s efforts to broaden students’ perspectives in the field of OHS through international studies. South Korea was chosen as the destination due to its success in reducing workplace accident rates through advanced technological innovations and the strict implementation of workplace safety regulations.

The Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., expressed her hopes that students would gain new knowledge that could be applied in Indonesia. “Through this program, students not only learn theory but also directly observe how South Korea effectively implements OHS systems in various industrial sectors,” said Prof. Mondastri.

During the program, student exchange participants engaged in various activities, including guest lectures, academic discussions, industry visits, and field observations. They studied best practices in workplace safety management, the use of technology for accident prevention, and an in-depth understanding of regulations supporting a safety culture in the workplace.

Prof. Kim Tae Gu, from the OHS Department of Inje University, warmly welcomed the FPH UI students. “We are pleased to share our experiences and knowledge regarding OHS. We believe that this exchange of ideas and experiences will be highly beneficial for both parties,” said Prof. Kim Tae Gu.

This student exchange program is expected to serve as a bridge for broader collaboration between FPH UI and Inje University in the future. In addition to enhancing academic competencies, this program also opens opportunities for students to develop international networks in the field of OHS. (wrk)
