FPH UI Holds Postgraduate Program Socialization for Prospective Students

The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again held a socialization event for its Postgraduate Program, aimed at the general public interested in continuing their studies at FPH UI. This event was designed to provide comprehensive information about the various postgraduate programs available, as well as the academic and professional opportunities for prospective students. The socialization was conducted online on Saturday, March 1, 2025, and was opened by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.

Participants were introduced to six postgraduate programs offered at FPH UI, which include the Master’s Program (S2) in Public Health Sciences, Master’s Program (S2) in Epidemiology, Master’s Program (S2) in Hospital Administration Studies, Master’s Program (S2) in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Doctoral Program (S3) in Public Health Sciences, and Doctoral Program (S3) in Epidemiology. The event featured distinguished speakers, including Rizka Maulida, S.K.M., M.Hsc., Ph.D., Secretary of the Master’s Program in Public Health Sciences; Dr. dr. Helda, M.Kes., Head of the Master’s Program in Epidemiology; Dr. drg. Masyitoh Basabih, MARS., Head of the Master’s Program in Hospital Administration Studies; Dr. Dadan Erwandi, S.Psi., M.Si., Head of the Master’s Program in Occupational Health and Safety; Dr. Pujiyanto, S.K.M., M.Kes., Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Public Health Sciences; Dr. dr. Tri Yunis Miko Wahyono, M.Sc., Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Epidemiology; and Prof. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D., Manager of Cooperation, Alumni Relations, and Business Ventures at FPH UI, who represented the Master’s Program in Public Health Sciences. The event was moderated by Dr. Haryadi Wibowo, S.H., M.A.R.S., Vice Chairman of the FPH UI Alumni Association, who facilitated discussions and a Q&A session with participants.

Each speaker provided insights into their respective programs. The Master’s Program in Public Health Sciences equips students with analytical skills and community-based health interventions to improve public well-being. The Master’s Program in Epidemiology focuses on epidemiological research methods to understand disease patterns and risk factors in populations. The Master’s Program in Hospital Administration Studies prepares students to become leaders in healthcare management, with an emphasis on efficiency and strategic policy. The Master’s Program in Occupational Health and Safety covers workplace accident prevention strategies and health promotion in industrial environments. The Doctoral Program in Public Health Sciences focuses on theoretical development and in-depth research to enhance public health policies and practices, while the Doctoral Program in Epidemiology trains doctoral candidates in advanced epidemiological research, emphasizing evidence-based disease control at the population level.

FPH UI hopes that through this socialization event, individuals interested in pursuing higher education in public health will gain a better understanding of the available study programs. It is expected that more academics and health professionals will join the FPH UI academic community and contribute to improving public health. (wrk)
