On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) welcomed visits from two high schools: IPK Christian High School from Makassar and BSD, and Al Maarif Islamic High School Batu, Singosari. The visit aimed to introduce students—who are currently preparing for higher education—to the university environment, particularly in the field of public health.
To welcome the visit, FPH UI presented several key speakers: the Academic Manager of FPH UI, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Head of the Undergraduate Environmental Health Study Program, Dr. Ema Hermawati, S.K.M., M.Si.; and Secretary of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program, Dr. Eng. Stevan Deby Anbiya, M.S., M.K.K.K. The three speakers delivered comprehensive presentations on the general profile of FPH UI, student admission tracks, quotas, admission competitiveness, and FPH UI’s strategic role in the development of public health in Indonesia.
They also provided detailed information about the four undergraduate study programs at FPH UI: Public Health, Nutrition, Environmental Health, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). The students gained a full understanding of the curriculum, career opportunities, and the contributions of graduates across various sectors.
Enthusiasm from the visiting students was evident throughout the session. They actively asked questions on topics ranging from the admissions process, campus life at FPH UI, career prospects, scholarship opportunities, to the differences between each major. The discussion was lively and interactive, reflecting a strong interest in the field of public health.
Through this activity, FPH UI hopes to broaden young people’s understanding of the importance of public health and inspire them to pursue higher education and contribute to improving community health.
