As part of the evaluation process for the development of the Integrity Zone (Zona Integritas/ZI) towards the Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM) designation, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) received a visitation from the Inspectorate General Team of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
The visitation took place in Room PA209, Health Sciences Cluster Building (RIK UI), and involved three assessors: Riem Rayni, Irma Aryanti, and Uly Lathifatul Fajriyah. Representing FPH UI were the Dean, Vice Deans, Faculty Secretary, Manager of Partnerships, Alumni Relations and Ventures, General Manager, and the FPH UI ZI development team. Also present was Dr. Filia, M.Si., Head of the Subdirectorate for Cultural and Governance Transformation at UI, along with her team.
In his welcoming remarks, Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., expressed the faculty’s commitment and enthusiasm for achieving the WBBM designation. “We hope to become a proud working unit under the Ministry. We remain committed and enthusiastic to deliver the best outcome in this ZI evaluation. We are open to feedback from the auditors for our improvement,” said Prof. Mondastri.
Representing UI, Dr. Filia, M.Si., explained that UI also holds an internal ZI competition at the university level, involving all faculties. Nationally, FPH UI is competing at the highest level—WBBM—along with the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, and the Vocational Education Program, which are currently striving for the Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) designation. “We hope FPH can deliver its best and achieve the WBBM status. Let’s work together to make this a reality,” said Dr. Filia.
Riem Rayni from the Auditor Team appreciated FPH UI’s readiness in terms of facilities and environment. She noted that FPH UI is one of only 12 selected work units out of 260 reviewed based on the Evaluation Worksheet (LKE). “We believe FPH is substantively well-prepared, as this is its third year striving for WBBM. We’re here to help provide suggestions to refine what FPH UI has already prepared,” said Riem Rayni.
During the presentation session, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FPH UI, elaborated on the strategic steps FPH has taken in response to feedback from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenpanRB) and to strengthen organizational integrity. These steps are based on six strategic issues: inclusivity and equity in public services, broad societal impact through service innovation, use of IT to enhance performance, clean and bribery-free bureaucracy, reinforcement of ethics and work culture across the FPH community, and academic community welfare through the development of a Student Well-Being Center and student counseling services. Dr. Milla also outlined FPH UI’s concrete achievements and innovations.
The Evaluation Team (TPI) provided several important recommendations, including the need for a dedicated and well-documented monitoring and evaluation process for ZI, clarity of supporting documents in the LKE, and inclusion of evidence for risk indicators, innovations, and performance outcomes affected by regulatory normalization at the university level.
In addition to presentations and discussions, the evaluation team conducted a site visit across FPH UI’s premises, including service rooms and work units such as the Student Service Unit (ULF), as well as inspections of facilities supporting information transparency, services for vulnerable groups, and public complaint mechanisms.
This visitation marks a crucial step for FPH UI in maintaining its commitment to transparent, accountable governance and excellent public service, aligned with its goal of achieving the WBBM designation in 2025.
