FPH UI Welcomes Benchmarking Visit from UNESA, Serving as a Reference for Integrity Zone Development

Depok, August 5, 2025 — The reputation of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FPH UI) as one of the higher education work units designated as an Integrity Zone (IZ) towards a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) was further reinforced through a benchmarking visit from Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). This visit serves as concrete evidence that FPH UI’s experience in fostering a clean, transparent, and accountable bureaucracy has become a reference for other universities in realizing Corruption-Free Zones (WBK).

Held at the PA209 Meeting Room, Health Sciences Cluster (RIK) UI, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FPH UI, warmly welcomed the UNESA delegation. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Eni Wuryani, S.E., M.Si., CMA., Head of the Bureaucratic Reform Sub-Directorate of UNESA, accompanied by IZ Section Head, Riyadi, M.A., along with the RB-IZ team of UNESA. In her remarks, Prof. Eni explained that the establishment of the Bureaucratic Reform Sub-Directorate at UNESA only began in 2023. However, by this year, 12 out of 13 faculties at UNESA had already completed the Integrity Zone Evaluation Worksheet (LKE). “We realize, however, that further learning is needed to strengthen the spirit of integrity across units, and FPH UI is a very appropriate place for that,” stated Prof. Eni.

In her presentation, Dr. Milla shared FPH UI’s experience as the work unit entrusted to represent UI in IZ implementation, including strategies for cross-unit integration, strengthening a culture of integrity, consistent completion of the LKE, and key approaches in building a work system aligned with integrity values. She also emphasized the importance of leadership commitment and team consistency in every stage of LKE completion and in carrying out change initiatives.

The discussion took place in a dynamic atmosphere, highlighted by critical questions from the UNESA delegation on topics such as the management of the gratification cabinet, the Dedicated Staff Program, and efforts to maintain the spirit of the IZ team throughout the monitoring and evaluation process.

The series of discussions was further enriched by insights from the Faculty Secretary of FPH UI, Nelasari, M.K.M., and Subunit Coordinator for Human Resources, Dwi Asijati, S.E., who elaborated on good practices in the continuous monitoring and evaluation of IZ implementation.

This visit not only served as a forum for sharing technical strategies but also strengthened the spirit of inter-university collaboration in creating better bureaucracy. FPH UI remains firmly committed to supporting the national bureaucratic reform movement with excellence and integrity.
