Depok, 5 November 2025 – As a form of commitment to excellent and internationally standardized academic and administrative governance, the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FPH UI), once again underwent the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Surveillance Audit conducted by DQS Indonesia. The two-day audit, held on 4–5 November 2025, is part of FPH UI’s continuous efforts to ensure that its quality management system remains effective, adaptive to change, and consistently aligned with the university’s vision of global excellence.
The audit was opened by the Quality Assurance Manager of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc., who explained that this audit served as a surveillance process, while the recertification audit is scheduled for next year. “This surveillance is conducted to identify areas for refinement, ensuring that FPH UI’s quality system remains relevant and aligned with international standards,” he stated.
In her remarks, the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., emphasized that the ISO audit is not merely an administrative requirement, but also a reflection of the strong culture of continuous improvement upheld by FPH UI. “This activity is part of our continuous improvement efforts in line with UI’s motto, Excellent and Impactful, as well as FPH UI’s motto, Noble in Spirit and Excellent in Performance. We hope this process brings blessings and progress to all members of the community,” said Prof. Mondastri.
The surveillance audit was conducted by Hariadi Alim, auditor from DQS Indonesia. In his presentation, Hariadi emphasized that the process not only aims to review achievements but also to identify opportunities for refinement in response to emerging trends and challenges.
“This surveillance is carried out to refine the achievements already made. However, we must also consider new risks arising from changing times, including the impact of climate change. All of these must be anticipated and explicitly documented in the ISO system as evidence of the institution’s commitment to quality policy,” Hariadi explained.
This audit involved all faculty leaders and units under the Faculty Administration Center, each of whom participated in discussions and observations regarding the implementation of quality standards within their respective areas.
During the closing meeting, Hariadi conveyed his appreciation for several noteworthy strengths at FPH UI, including the international accreditation of its study programs by the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), the highly advanced digitalization of its information management systems, the presence of the Student Wellbeing Center (SWC) as a tangible support for student mental health, and other best practices reflecting a strong quality culture within FPH UI.
Hariadi announced that there were no findings (zero non-conformities) in this surveillance audit, and FPH UI is deemed eligible to maintain its ISO 9001:2015 certification until the next recertification period next year. The auditor provided only five suggestions: the need for certification of internal auditors, the inclusion of dates on Evisem documents, provision of minutes of meeting copies for IT asset control, sequential numbering of Work Instructions (IK) in the Public Relations unit, and the need for numbering on faculty service request forms to facilitate tracking.
In her closing remarks, Prof. Mondastri expressed gratitude and appreciation for the positive audit results. “Alhamdulillah, this outcome is both encouraging and a valuable achievement for us. It proves the strong teamwork we have, both horizontally and vertically. Thank you for the valuable guidance from Mr. Hariadi over time. One of FPH UI’s strengths is a confident and resilient management team, which has enabled us to achieve these remarkable results,” she stated.
Through this audit, FPH UI reaffirms its commitment to continuously transform into an excellent, adaptive, and globally competitive faculty, embedding quality as a living work culture across all organizational levels. (wrk)
