Depok, 18 December 2025 — The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI), attended an invitation from the Advocacy and Student Welfare Department (Adkesma) of the Student Executive Board of the Public Health Students Association, Universitas Indonesia (BEM IM FPH UI) 2025, to participate in the 2025 Silaturahmi (Courtesy Meeting), which was held online on Thursday, 18 December 2025. The activity served as a forum for dialogue between students and faculty leadership through the presentation of the FPH UI student survey results to the FPH UI Dean’s Office.
The Silaturahmi aimed to strengthen two-way communication between students and the faculty leadership, while also functioning as a data-driven advocacy platform to convey students’ aspirations, evaluations, and needs. The survey results presented were a systematic compilation of student voices collected by the Adkesma Department of BEM IM FPH UI 2025.
The meeting was attended by the Dean and Vice Deans, as well as managers and coordinators within the FPH UI Dean’s Office. The faculty leadership welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for BEM IM FPH UI’s efforts in fostering a healthy and collaborative dialogue. The event also served as an introduction to the leadership of the Dean and Vice Deans for the 2025–2029 term.
“We appreciate the presentation of the student survey results by BEM IM FPH UI. Input from students is highly valuable for the faculty as a basis for evaluation and continuous improvement,” said the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Indri Hapsari Susilowati.
In the presentation, representatives of the Adkesma Department explained that the student survey covered various key aspects, ranging from student welfare and academic and non-academic services to facilities supporting teaching and learning activities. The data were presented concisely and objectively, accompanied by proposed recommendations expected to serve as considerations for the faculty.
Representatives of BEM IM FPH UI stated that the activity reflected BEM’s commitment to constructively safeguarding and advocating for student aspirations.
“This Silaturahmi is our effort to convey student voices in a structured and data-driven manner. We hope that the survey results can serve as a shared foundation for improving and enhancing student welfare at FPH UI,” said a representative of the Adkesma Department of BEM IM FPH UI 2025.
The online discussion proceeded interactively, featuring responses, clarifications, and exchanges of perspectives between students and the faculty leadership regarding the issues raised. The Dean’s Office also reaffirmed its commitment to follow up on student aspirations in accordance with the faculty’s authority and policies.
Through the 2025 Silaturahmi activity, it is hoped that synergy between students and faculty leadership will continue to strengthen in creating an inclusive, responsive, and student welfare–oriented academic environment.
