As an institution of higher education with a mandate in advancing science and community service in the field of public health, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to demonstrate its commitment to being present and engaged with the community. In celebration of its 60th anniversary, FPH UI, in collaboration with the Association of Female Employees (IWK) FPH UI and the Universitas Indonesia Hospital (RSUI), held a mass circumcision event for children of staff families and the surrounding community.
The event took place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Building G, FPH UI, and was attended by 27 participants. In her remarks, the Chair of the IWK FPH UI Advisory Board, Dr. drg. Helwiyah, M.P.H., expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of all parties involved. “We hope this event brings real benefits to the children and their families, while also strengthening FPH UI’s connection with the community,” she stated.
From RSUI, Dr. Novita Dwi Istanti, S.K.M., M.A.R.S., Director of Transformation and Business Development, conveyed the hospital’s support for promotive and preventive health programs in collaboration with academic institutions. “This activity reflects the strong spirit of collaboration between the hospital and the university in making a direct contribution to society. We truly appreciate this partnership and are committed to continuing similar initiatives in the future,” she affirmed.
To ensure safe and professional health services, the event was fully supported by the RSUI medical team consisting of 18 healthcare professionals and supporting staff, including surgical specialists, general practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, as well as registration and documentation teams. dr. Koespriyandito, Sp.B, served as the Lead Medical Officer, assisted by dr. Fiqi Yusrina as Medical Coordinator and Ema Fiki Munaya, S.K.M., M.K.M., as Field Coordinator. The circumcision procedures went smoothly, thanks to the strong coordination between organizers and participants.
Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., conveyed her appreciation for the collaborative spirit embodied in this initiative. “This mass circumcision event is not only part of our 60th Anniversary celebration but also a meaningful form of community service aligned with our vision to become a noble-hearted and high-performing institution. Our sincere gratitude goes to all partners and teams involved,” she said.
This initiative further strengthens FPH UI’s role in promoting public health and building closer ties with the surrounding communities. Under the theme “FPH UI with Noble Spirit, Excellent Performance,” the 60th Anniversary serves as a significant milestone for FPH UI to broaden its positive impact through education, research, and real action.
