The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) welcomed an official visit from the delegation of Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), Timor-Leste, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The meeting, held in Room PA212 at the UI Health Sciences Cluster, focused on discussing the academic supervision of doctoral students from UNPAZ currently studying at FPH UI, scholarship opportunities, and follow-up actions on the existing academic collaboration.
The event was opened by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., who warmly welcomed the guests and reaffirmed FPH UI’s commitment to supporting international students, particularly those from UNPAZ. “We have been looking forward to this meeting to continue our discussions and collaboration. From UNPAZ, the Rector, Dr. Adoimando Soares Amaral, Lic. We hope this partnership with UI will further strengthen our academic capacity,” he said.

Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., provided a comprehensive overview of the Doctoral Program at FPH UI. Dr. Asih explained the curriculum structure, the role of academic supervisors, the stages of dissertation writing, and the various research grant opportunities available to students. This presentation was a key point in supporting the success of UNPAZ doctoral students at UI.
The meeting also discussed further implementation of other elements of the university tri-dharma collaboration, including possibilities for lecturer exchange, joint seminars, and student exchange programs between FPH UI and UNPAZ.
