On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FPH UI), in collaboration with Zenith Academy, held the Indonesian Vizz Idol Workshop — an event aimed at introducing and training students in the use of Tableau as a data visualization platform. Held in the Auditorium of Building G, FPH UI, this workshop served as a platform to equip students with the skills to analyze data and present it informatively and impactfully through compelling visualizations.
In his opening remarks, Fajar Nugraha, S.Si., M.K.M., a researcher and staff member of the Center for Biostatistics and Health Informatics Studies (PKBIK) at FPH UI, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration. “Thank you to Zenith Academy for initiating this workshop at FPH UI. This will be a valuable learning experience, especially for those working with data, as they learn to use Tableau. For policymakers, data visualization is essential to support informed decision-making. Therefore, high-quality and informative data presentation is crucial,” Fajar stated.
Tableau was introduced as a leading platform in the field of data analytics, recognized for its ability to present data in the form of interactive dashboards and visually appealing graphics. Alwaqiatul Jamagis, S.E., M.Si., Head of Business and Development at PT Solusi Digital Kreasindo and a certified Tableau and BNSP trainer, served as the main speaker. She highlighted Tableau’s strengths as a market leader in data visualization. “One of Tableau’s founders comes from a well-known animation industry background, which contributes to its strong aesthetic capabilities. Mastery of Tableau also opens significant professional opportunities,” she explained.
Zenith Academy is an intensive training institution focused on Tableau education, having conducted Indonesian Vizz Idol outreach at more than 10 universities across Indonesia. The Academy also organizes a nationwide student-exclusive data visualization competition, running from May 7 to October 7, 2025. One notable collaboration includes BPJS Kesehatan, allowing participants to explore public health data and produce visualizations that contribute to national health policy development. (ITM)
