Depok, September 4, 2025 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) conducted an integrated Internal Quality Audit (IQA) for two quality standards: ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System. The audit took place over three days, from September 2 to 4, 2025, and covered all administrative units under the faculty’s central administration.
The implementation of this IQA marks an important step for FPH UI in ensuring an effective, transparent, and accountable management system. The integration of both standards guarantees that every administrative and service process within the faculty not only meets quality requirements but also upholds integrity and anti-bribery principles.
The audit was carried out by a team of trained internal auditors, focusing on document compliance, procedural implementation, and each unit’s commitment to continuous improvement. Through this process, FPH UI aims to identify strengths and areas for improvement while ensuring that quality and integrity remain integral to the faculty’s work culture.
Vice Dean for Resources, Enterprise, and General Administration of FPH UI, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si., emphasized that the audit serves as both an evaluation and reflection tool for faculty management performance. “The Internal Quality Audit (IQA) is an essential process at the faculty level to ensure that all services are carried out in accordance with established standards. Through the IQA, we can continuously improve services, both for internal and external stakeholders, while also understanding the needs and expectations of service users. This audit also serves as a preparatory stage before the external audit scheduled for November. It is a critical phase to identify strengths and weaknesses in daily operations, which will serve as the foundation for continuous improvement,” she stated.
Meanwhile, FPH UI Quality Assurance Manager, Prof. Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc., highlighted the importance of ongoing quality assurance. “Conducting the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) is crucial for realizing sustainable quality assurance. The essence of quality assurance lies in delivering services that exceed expectations, and through this audit, we are constantly reminded to adhere to the established quality standards,” he explained.
Over the three-day audit, the internal audit team identified seven minor nonconformities and thirteen observations across all units under the faculty’s central administration. These findings provide valuable insights for strengthening existing systems, addressing weaknesses, and following up on recommendations to further enhance service governance and quality.
The audit results will serve as the foundation for improvement and system strengthening at FPH UI, enabling the faculty to continue providing professional, transparent, and high-integrity services to its academic community and external partners.
The IQA is also a regular and mandatory activity conducted prior to the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System surveillance and ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System re-accreditation audits scheduled for November 2025. (wrk)
