Denpasar, October 12, 2025 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) expanded its national academic network through a series of activities including a Scientific Manuscript Coaching, Public Health Seminar, and Postgraduate Program Socialization held at Warmadewa University, Denpasar, Bali. The visit, which took place from October 10–12, 2025, was led by Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., accompanied by the Manager for Cooperation, Alumni Relations, and Ventures, Prof. Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D., and the Head of the Department of Health Administration and Policy, Prof. Dr. Ede Surya Darmawan, S.K.M., M.D.M.
This initiative was part of FPH UI’s continuous efforts to strengthen synergy among public health institutions across Indonesia and to support the academic capacity development of lecturers and students in the field of public health. Through various interactive sessions, the FPH UI delegation had the opportunity to engage in discussions, share best practices, and introduce FPH UI’s master’s and doctoral programs to the academic community of Warmadewa University and its partners in Bali.
Over the course of three days, several strategic activities were successfully conducted. The program began with a gathering with alumni and medical residents of RSUP Prof. Ngoerah on Friday, October 10, 2025. On the following day, Saturday (11/10), Prof. Indri Hapsari delivered a scientific manuscript coaching session for lecturers and students of Warmadewa University, as part of efforts to enhance scientific publication capacity within health higher education institutions. The event continued with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between FPH UI and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) Warmadewa University, followed by a campus tour to observe academic facilities.
The culmination of the visit took place on Sunday (12/10) with a public health seminar titled “Transformation of the National Health System and Its Implications for Hospitals.” The seminar served as a platform for knowledge exchange between academics and practitioners in addressing the dynamics of national health policy. During the same session, FPH UI also conducted a Postgraduate Program Socialization (Master’s and Doctoral), introducing its academic excellence, research-based curriculum, and opportunities for inter-university research collaboration.
This visit reflected FPH UI’s strong commitment to expanding academic collaboration and strengthening the university’s contribution to the development of the national health system. Such initiatives not only serve as platforms for knowledge sharing but also as bridges for inter-institutional cooperation, aiming to enhance educational and research capacity in the field of public health.
The series of activities concluded with a networking session between the FPH UI team and FKIK Warmadewa University as a gesture of appreciation for the collaboration established. This event is expected to mark the beginning of future partnerships in research, academic exchange, and joint program development.
Through this visit, FPH UI reaffirmed its role as an active higher education institution in public health, fostering strategic partnerships with various stakeholders to strengthen the quality of the university’s Tri Dharma—education, research, and community service—while supporting the sustainable transformation of Indonesia’s national health system.
