FPH UI Graduates Ready to Make Their Mark in the Field of Public Health

Depok, September 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again marked a proud achievement at the Universitas Indonesia Graduation Ceremony for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, held solemnly at the Balairung UI. Together with graduates from the health sciences cluster—the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Pharmacy—a total of 555 graduates from FPH UI were officially conferred their degrees as new alumni of UI.

This moment was not merely a celebration of academic completion but also a reaffirmation of FPH UI’s role as a center of excellence in producing professionals and scholars in the field of public health. Amid global health challenges, FPH UI graduates are expected to emerge as adaptive, innovative, and collaborative agents of change, ready to advance public health for the nation.

The ceremony also served as a testament to the academic excellence of FPH UI graduates. A total of 302 graduates across the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs achieved cum laude honors, and 11 of them earned the highest distinction, summa cum laude. The best undergraduate graduate was Inez Sakhi Wisista, S.K.M., with a GPA of 3.94; the best master’s graduate was Miftahun Najah, M.K.M., with a GPA of 3.97; and the best doctoral graduate was Dr. Aqsha Azhary Nur, who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00. These accomplishments demonstrate FPH UI’s consistent commitment to producing high-quality human resources who are ready to contribute meaningfully to society.

FPH UI believes that this year’s graduates will become agents of change who bring forward the spirit of health promotion and disease prevention in advancing public health in Indonesia. Equipped with knowledge, practical skills, and a strong alumni network, FPH UI graduates are ready to make significant contributions toward realizing Indonesia Emas 2045.

Echoing the message of the Rector of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, in his congratulatory remarks:
“Congratulations for reaching the finish line of your long educational marathon. Your unwavering dedication, tireless effort, and unbroken spirit in pursuing your dreams are truly admirable. As UI alumni, be excellent, impactful, and prominent wherever you are—whether in your career, further studies, business, or family life. Be agents of change who will lead Indonesia toward a brighter future,” said the Rector.

The ceremony also featured remarks from Drs. H. M. Jusuf Kalla, the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, who delivered an inspiring message:
“As graduates of Universitas Indonesia, you face unique challenges as alumni of one of the nation’s leading universities. Your determination and capability will be your greatest assets. Alumni must uphold self-respect and the ability to bring prosperity to themselves and others. Success comes from innovation, hard work, and strong spirit. Once again, congratulations to all of you, your parents, and your teachers,” said Drs. H. M. Jusuf Kalla.

Public health is the foundation of national development; therefore, FPH UI graduates are expected not only to excel academically but also to demonstrate social sensitivity and strong leadership in driving meaningful change. (wrk)
