FPH UI Holds Sharing Session to Strengthen AHPGS International Accreditation Efforts with Faculty of Nursing and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UI

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, in an effort to enhance the quality of international-standard education, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI), in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing (FIK), held an AHPGS Sharing Session with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UI. The event, held in Room PA 212, Building A RIK UI, served as a platform for exchanging insights regarding the AHPGS international accreditation process.

AHPGS (Akkreditierungsagentur im Bereich Gesundheit und Soziales) is an accreditation agency from Germany that is internationally recognized by ENQA (European Quality Assurance Register). The agency specializes in the evaluation and accreditation of study programs in health and social sciences, both at the undergraduate and master’s levels, to ensure high-quality teaching and learning standards globally.

FPH UI successfully obtained AHPGS accreditation in 2022 for three study programs: the Bachelor of Public Health, the Master of Public Health, and the Master of Hospital Administration. This accreditation is valid until September 30, 2028. This year, FPH UI is committed to continuing this strategic step by submitting additional study programs for AHPGS accreditation.

During the experience-sharing session, Endah Triastuti, Ph.D., Head of the Academic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Data Office (UPMA–KDA) of FISIP UI, emphasized the importance of cross-level consolidation—from university to faculty to students—in aligning perceptions regarding regulations and target competencies. “Discussion is key when we face regulations that still seem unclear. The forums we established with the UI team at the time were very helpful in streamlining the visitation process,” Endah explained.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., expressed appreciation for the collaboration. “This event is a valuable moment to rekindle the spirit of inter-faculty togetherness. Thank you to everyone for your hard work in building academic reputation and improving graduate competencies to meet global standards,” she said.

The event was also attended by Vice Deans, managers, coordinators, and lecturers from FPH and FIK UI. The discussion was warm and constructive, reflecting a strong commitment to creating an education system capable of producing graduates who meet international standards.
